Directed the Census Bureau to include a citizenship question that would have caused an undercount of 7 million people. It was so obviously politically motivated, the Supreme Court ruled against it! Issued an executive order to collect citizenship data after its loss in court. Is continuing to find new ways to undermine the census and undercount communities of color. A miscount would be a HUGE problem. The census determines how political power is divided among states and congressional districts during redistricting.
