PHILOSOPHY WITHOUT BORDERS assumes universal enfranchisement and
emancipation as a goal, so that all people may participate in the
generation and discussion of philosophy. Its only requirement is that
the cultural products shared, whether they may be philosophy in the
strict sense, being the continuation world’s history of philosophy
from all parts, including western and eastern or any other philosophy;
or whether they be other thought provoking cultural products including
conversations, serious or humorous writing, the visual arts, crafts,
multimedia, and future art, so long as they contain real philosophical
thinking.

By “real philosophical thinking,” we mean thinking that is unhindered
and not self-censored by subservience to any so-called philosophical
authority or canon, aimed at least in some way at generating,
elucidating or commenting on philosophical ideas; and respectful of
the assumed universal enfranchisement and emancipation of all people
and therefore communicating in a spirit of love, peace, and
understanding – not hate, conflict, or vilification.

PHILOSOPHY WITHOUT BORDERS belongs to a radical phase in the
philosophical project that flowered in the period of western culture
which has become known  as the Age of Enlightenment,  occurring mostly
in Europe during the 18th century. The ideas of the Enlightenment
undermined the authority of the monarchy, church, and state, paving
the way for subsequent emancipatory political revolutions in the cause
of freedom from oppression of any kind. Radically enlightened
philosophers have existed in all cultures and all ages, readily
recognised by their support of unrestricted reason and universal
respect for human dignity as the two primary vehicles for creating
understanding real and imagined worlds, and for disseminating the idea
that disputes and conflicts can be resolved or avoided by means of the
search for logically-guided, evidence-based truth rather than personal
beliefs, creeds, mysticisms, or other oppressive, mind-enslaving
ideological constructs.

PHILOSOPHY WITHOUT BORDERS is a safe haven for thinkers to explore and
warn against the incursions against radical enlightenment by abuses of
greed, power, control, oppression, obedience, censorship, hate,
derision, bullying, xenophobia, nationalism, feudalism, group-think,
enforced zeitgeists, and other crimes against and limitations of
humanity. PHILOSOPHY WITHOUT BORDERS in this sense can be thought of
Enlightenment Redux, not just a passing phase, but the underlying
principles of all humane activity. Radical enlightenment opposes
oppression by complacency, stupidity, and evil, which persist all
around the world, not only in despotic regimes, but also in supposedly
enlightened ones, mostly as a result of an obsession with
self-interested competition and the possession of coercive power,
rather than on mutual aid and constructive cooperation as the bases
for rational human activity.

BALTIMORE. SETH MOULTON.

David,
I’m Emma, Seth’s National Finance Manager, and I live in Baltimore.

On Saturday, Trump took to Twitter with another racist tweet-rant. He called my city a "very dangerous and filthy place,” the "worst in the USA,” and a "rat and rodent infested mess."

Not only are Trump’s attacks on Baltimore baseless, they are overtly racist. He repeatedly uses the word “infestation” when talking about black people. And simply put, he attacks Congresspeople like AOC and Rep. Elijah Cummings differently than he attacks white Congresspeople.

Donald Trump is not fit to lead our country.

Trump’s racist, unhinged, and un-American attacks on Saturday remind me of why I’m working for Seth: he’s a real leader who unites people rather than dividing them. Seth served four tours in Iraq as a leader in the Marines. He came home and took up the mantle of leadership representing the 6th district of Massachusetts in Congress. And he offers a vision for America that is starkly different than Trump’s.

David, Seth knows how to take on Donald Trump—and win. That’s why I’m doing everything I can to get Seth on the debate stage. As National Finance Director, one of my jobs is to make sure we are successful in our end-of-month fundraising efforts.

Thank you,
Emma Lucaci
National Finance Manager
Seth Moulton for America

I’m asking for your opinion. MICHIGAN GOVERNOR GRETCHEN WITMER.

DAVID,

Starting tonight, 20 candidates will take the stage in Detroit for the second Democratic Presidential Debates! As governor and a lifelong Michigander, I’m thrilled to welcome them.

Ahead of the candidates taking the stage, I’ve hosted many of them at events across Michigan where they’ve shared their ideas and plans for our country. Now, I’d like to hear from you. What issues should the candidates highlight on stage this week?
We’ve talked about the importance of expanding access to health care, funding quality public education, and ensuring that everyone has a path to a good-paying job – plus, infrastructure and how we #FTDR, or as we say in Michigan: fix the damn roads!

Now we have the chance to ensure that these issues are discussed on the debate stage for the whole country to see. Instead of hoping that presidential candidates talk about the issues that matter to us, let’s weigh in. What should the candidates be talking about? What do you want to hear? Take a moment and share your priorities with me and the DGA.

We can’t let this moment pass us by – not after we’ve seen what a Trump presidency looks like.

I’m counting on you to speak out, DAVID.

Thank you,

Gretchen Whitmer
Governor of Michigan

Kamala Harris and "Medicare for All." BERNIE SANDERS.

David -
Medicare for All has the support of a majority of voters and huge parts of the Democratic Party. So it’s no surprise that other candidates for president want to say they also support Medicare for All.

Sen. Kamala Harris released a plan today that her campaign calls "Medicare for All" — you can call it anything you want, but you can’t call that plan Medicare for All.

Her plan is centered around privatizing Medicare, enriching insurance executives and introducing more corporate greed and profiteering into the Medicare system — and even then, waiting for 10 years before any changes happen.

Medicare for All means Medicare for All. Not more private insurance. Not more profits for denying care. And we cannot wait to fix our broken system.
Our campaign is rejecting money from health insurance and drug company executives. We don’t want to have the support of people who profit off of our broken healthcare system. And anyone who wants to fix that system must do the same.

The time is long overdue to guarantee healthcare to every man, woman and child as a right, not a privilege, under a true Medicare for All system.

Thank you for standing up to make healthcare a human right.
In solidarity,
Faiz Shakir
Campaign Manager

AMY KLOBUCHAR: AT LEAST ONE CAND. FOR THE WHITE HOUSE WAS PAYING ATTENTION.

TO MY READERS,
(THE FOLLOWING REFERS TO ROBERT MUELLERS TESTIMONY BEFORE THE HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, REGARDING THE 2016 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.)

This part of ROBERT MUELLERS Testimony, (SEE BELOW), was incredibly important, yet the DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS STRANGELY SILENT ABOUT IT. COULD IT BE THAT MANY OF THOSE NOW SEEKING THE NOMINATION FOR PRESIDENT DID OR SAID NOTHING TO OBJECT TO THIS BOGUS ELECTION? IT WASN'T BILLIONAIRES AND CORPORATIONS WHO SAT IN CONGRESS AND FAILED TO ACT, OR EVEN EXPRESS CONCERN OR RESERVATIONS ABOUT THE OUTCOME.

A FRAUDULENT OUTCOME THAT GAVE US A NATIONAL DISGRACE CALLED DONALD TRUMP.
- DAVID.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

(AMYS LETTER.)

David,

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee today told us what we
already knew:

The Russian attack on our democracy in 2016 was not an isolated attempt. The Russians didn’t use bombs, tanks or missiles. Instead, they planned a sophisticated cyber mission to undermine our democratic system.

We know there's a continued threat against our democracy. As Special Counsel Mueller stated during the
hearing, “they’re doing it as we sit here.” Our elections in 2020 are vulnerable and the Senate, led by Mitch McConnell, refuses to act.
(ITALICS ARE MINE- DAVID)

What we need to do now is address these facts to make sure that our election systems are resilient against future attacks. We must pass the Election Security Act -- a bipartisan bill I introduced that will make our elections more secure and require backup paper ballots. And as President, I will make protecting our elections a top priority. In my first 100 Days, I will launch government-wide cybersecurity initiatives and set up a cabinet-level taskforce on election cybersecurity.

But I need your help to get to the White House. Our next President must be someone
who people can trust and who can get things done.
Thank you,
Amy

Will you make a donation to help me defeat Donald Trump in 2020?

How my Medicare for All plan works. KAMALA HARRIS.

This isn’t a radical idea, David: health care should be a right, not a privilege for only those who can
afford it.
That’s why I just released my plan to create a Medicare for All health care system when
I’m elected president.
Since Trump took office, more than seven million Americans have lost their health care coverage while
many more are forced to choose between life-saving medication and putting food on the table.
I'm going to fix that with my Medicare for All plan:
In our America…
  • You can go to the doctor and know you are covered;
  • Middle-class and low-income families will not shoulder the burden for Medicare
  •  for All -- Wall Street will;
  • If you need reproductive care…you’re covered;
  • Families with pre-existing conditions are covered, no matter what;
  • You can change jobs and your health coverage goes with you;
  • All Americans will receive the health care they need.
That’s the core of my plan, David -- but I need you to join me in this fight today if we’re going to pass a
Medicare for All plan that guarantees quality health care for every American.
Sign my petition if you support creating a Medicare for All system in America that will
lower costs, expand options, and make Wall Street, not middle-class families, bear the
brunt of the burden.

This isn’t about ideology. It’s about delivering results for the American people because nothing is more
personal than our health care. I know this from my own personal experience, caring for my mother as she
battled colon cancer.

It’s important that we get this right and I’m asking you to join me today.
For The People,
— Kamala Harris

Our 21-0 record against Trump. WASH. ATTORNEY GENERAL BOB FERGUSON.

David,

You’ve heard me talk about our record -- that is, the people of Washington state’s record against President Trump in court: 21-0. It’s been a busy two years since we served President Trump with the first defeat of his presidency, blocking his first Muslim travel ban from going into effect just three days after he issued it.

Here is every one of our 21 victories against President Trump and his administration’s unconstitutional, harmful policies:

When Congress fails to take action, we have stepped up as the last line of defense against President Trump's reckless actions. Your support means I get to keep working to protect Washingtonians, our environment, DREAMers, access to health care, and more.

We’ve got a lot more to do -- and I’m not tired of winning yet.

Bob

How you can learn more. AMY KLOBUCHAR.

DAVID,

We were so proud of Amy during the first DNC debate! She took an unflinching stand against President Trump’s Twitter tirades and shared her positive vision to move America forward.

And we weren’t the only ones who think Amy was incredible -- The Boston Globe even called her a “winner!”

The next debate is just around the corner -- if you want to stay up to date on Amy’s stand-out moments, then sign up for Team Amy text alerts today. We’ll make sure you hear the latest on Amy’s plans.

Thanks for your continued support!

Stop the Trump administration's cuts to food stamps. JENNIFER WEXTON.

David,

On Tuesday, the Trump administration proposed a new rule that would cut food stamp assistance for over three million Americans.

This is a cruel and unnecessary move that will hurt lower-income working families.

The Trump administration needs to hear from the American people. Can you help Jennifer get 10,000 signatures to protect food stamp assistance for those who need it?
This administration has shown at every turn whose side they’re on. They showed it when they tried to repeal healthcare for millions. They showed it when they rammed through a tax scam bill that did nothing for the middle class. They showed it by shutting down the government for over a month and forcing federal employees to work without pay. And they’re showing it again now.

They are not on the side of working Americans.

Jennifer will always be on the side of working Americans. That’s why she’s fighting to stop these cruel cuts to food stamps. Please stand with her and add your name today.

Thank you,

Team Wexton

Rep. Jennifer Wexton proudly serves the 10th District of Virginia. She's fighting to create a strong economy, ensure equality for all, and invest in a better future for America.
