Today we are once again defending health care for
Washingtonians. Oral arguments are being heard this morning in federal
court as we defend the Affordable Care Act.
A group of Republican attorneys general are challenging
the ACA. They seek to completely eliminate it -- including its protections for people with
pre-existing conditions --
without any replacement. The Trump administration refused to defend the
law, threatening the health care of millions.
Democratic attorneys general from across the country,
including me, stepped up to do the right thing. We’re protecting your
health care when the president won’t. I joined this multi-state
coalition to ensure your voice is heard in court today when your health
care is at stake.
I won’t let President Trump play politics with the
Affordable Care Act. We’ll continue fighting to protect Washingtonians’
access to affordable health care --
all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
