Trump officials interfered with CDC reports on COVID-19, POLITICO reports

Department of Health and Human Services communications officials appointed by President Trump demanded the right to review and seek changes to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s weekly scientific reports on COVID-19, according to an investigation by POLITICO. In particular, officials have sought to alter the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports, "arguing that scientists are intentionally trying to undermine Trump’s message."
