Addressing the current controversy over the selection of a new Speaker of the House of Rep., with the FPA/GOP seemingly desperate to find a Candidate who is just Fascist enough to please Trump, but still give an Illusion of caring about the Electorate, I offer an alternative.
However, this is directed at the Democrats. It's a long shot, but why not? How about this:
Democrats, instead of waiting for the FPA/GOP to trot out the next candidate, attempt to find A Member of the opposition who might actually be reasonable enough to be willing to work with you, and nominate them.
You don't have the numbers to attain the Speakership, so why not find the next best thing: A member of the House from the opposition who wants to Govern the U.S., not destroy it.
