They lie because the Truth offers no comfort to their empty existence.
Trump offered the following: “There is no need to think, no need to understand. Just obey, like good little Mindless Drones, and I will fulfill your Fascist Dreams.”
The groups listed below are not Americans who were looking for a True Leader, but someone who would justify their Irrational and Delusional view of life. Trump is Evil, but he didn’t create the people who support him, he just exploits them. His SOCIOPATHY MATCHES THE INTELLECTUAL AND MORAL EMPTINESS OF THEIR LIVES.
*Donald Trump was able to build a Foundation of Support, Tenuous as it may be, because he convinced the RACISTS, BIGOTS, MISOGYNISTS etc., to come together and HATE AS ONE GROUP. Even though he has never come close to a working majority, a SHAM ELECTION AND THE TACIT APPROVAL OF THE NATIONAL REPUBLICAN PARTY has allowed this "COALITION OF HATE" TO BLOSSOM INTO A FLOWER OF EVIL.
