 Let's face it, David: a 50-50 Senate just isn’t cutting it for everything we need to get done for the American people.

We’ve got to protect and expand our majority with two more Democratic senators to get past the filibuster, codify Roe v. Wade, protect our democracy by passing federal voting rights legislation, and more.

But Republicans are gaining ground in the two states that represent our best chance to flip GOP Senate seats: Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. So now’s the time to help our Democratic candidates Mandela Barnes and John Fetterman fight back.

Pure and simple, losing our Democratic majorities this November would be disastrous.

Republicans in Congress have introduced a bill for a national abortion ban — meaning no safe havens anywhere in America — and they are planning to pass it if they take back the House and Senate.

And they’re not going to stop there. They’ll stop investigating the January 6 attack on our democracy, they’ll obstruct President Biden at every turn, they’ll try to grease the skids for Donald Trump to come back into power, and they’ll put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block. Mandela Barnes’s opponent, Republican Senator Ron Johnson, even wants Congress to vote every year on whether seniors get to keep their Social Security and Medicare.

We just need to hold onto the House, and pick up two more Senate seats to not only stop them, but to end our almost-stalemate with our current majority.

If we expand our Democratic majority by two votes, and if we hold onto the House, we can end the filibuster and make Roe the law of the land as soon as January. That’s well worth fighting for.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won Wisconsin and Pennsylvania in 2020. Mandela Barnes and John Fetterman can win them again in November. And both support ending the filibuster to pass legislation that would ensure abortion rights nationwide.

But we’re running out of time to help them fight back against the GOP’s big money and onslaught of attacks.
