However, it could get much worse. You realize that the NATO TREATY REQUIRES MEMBER
NATIONS TO COME TO THE AID OF ONE OF THEIR OWN IN CASE OF MILITARY AGGRESSION BY A FOREIGN POWER. THAT INCLUDES: “such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force” in response...
You knew that UKRAINE was looking to join NATO, which if achieved, would probably MEAN MILITARY INTERVENTION FROM ALLIED COUNTRIES IF YOU INVADED.
That would not do. So, how could you prevent, or at least delay, such an event? How about finding a willing NATO GOVERNMENT that was strong enough, ECONOMICALLY AND MILITARILY, TO INFLUENCE OTHER MEMBER COUNTRIES TO MAKE DECISIONS THAT WOULD BENEFIT, AND NOT IMPEDE, YOUR FORCEFUL TAKEOVER OF A FREE PEOPLE.
What about the NATO MEMBER with the STRONGEST ARMED FORCES ON THE PLANET? If they're on your side, how much easier it would be.
