Eric Swalwell displays A Jim 'Jordan Subpoena Evasion' Clock In Hearing
California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell is known for brilliant trolling of MAGA Republicans in committee hearings, and Wednesday's Judiciary Committee hearing to hear testimony from Atty. General Merrick Garland was another instant classic.
During his comment period Swalwell displayed two laptop computers, one that said "Jordan's Subpoena Evasion" and the other with a clock counting days, hours, minutes and seconds since Jim Jordan refused to comply with a subpoena to testify before Congress regarding his actions on January 6th.
Swalwell's comments were directed at Republican Rep. Thomas Massie after Massie accused Atty. General Garland of being in contempt of Congress for refusing to comment on active investigations.
"That is quite rich, because the guy who's leading the hearing room right now, Mr. Jordan, is about 500 days into evading his subpoena," Swalwell said. "So, if we're going to talk about contempt of Congress, let's get real. Are you serious?"
Swalwell: "We're going to get lectured about subpoena compliance and contempt of Congress? Jim Jordan won't even honor a lawful subpoena. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? There is no credibility on that side."
