David, June is National Gun Violence Awareness Month. It’s a time to remember those who have been taken from us in acts of senseless gun violence -- and a time to redouble our efforts to reform our laws so we can limit these tragedies. I am thinking especially of the twelve people who lost their lives three weeks ago in Virginia Beach during a mass shooting. It’s also not the first time our Commonwealth has been painfully impacted by gun violence in recent years. We owe it to Virginians -- and to all Americans -- to finally act. The Senate is currently blocking a vote on a sweeping gun safety bill that we’ve passed in the House. Will you join me today and demand a vote that will help save lives?
