MY MOTHER IS MY INSPIRATION. JENNIFER BOYSKO.

Dear David,

As Mother's Day arrives, I am reminded about my motivation to run for office. My mom Dianne struggled as a single mom. You may have heard my story. She dropped out of college to marry my dad when she was 19. The marriage was not a success and when I was about 8 years old, my mom found herself on her own with 3 children to care for with no job experience.

Long story short, working to make ends meet she suffered wage theft and a series of minimum wage jobs with no sick leave. With help from her father, she was finally able to go back to school to become a nurse. When I was in the 6th grade I was so proud to see her graduate.

As she raised me, she made sure that I didn't make the same mistakes. She made it her mission to see me graduate from college. Seeing my mother struggle, like so many other women who are forced to manage with no resources, is what has motivated me to spend my life in public service.

Thank you Mama, and thank you to the countless other women who are living paycheck to paycheck to take care of their children. Your love and sacrifice does not go unnoticed.

Happy Mother's Day!

Kindest regards,
 - Sen. Jennifer Boysko

NO ONE SHOULD BE DENIED CARE. U.S. REP. JENNIFER WEXTON.

David, I believe in putting patients first.

In America, being treated for a medical condition or trying to purchase the prescription you need shouldn’t be subject to a religious test. But the Trump administration believes differently.

They just finalized a rule allowing healthcare professionals to deny care to patients if it violates their religious beliefs. This is an open invitation for discrimination against LGBTQ Americans, and it means women could be denied reproductive care.

I was elected to protect access to healthcare and support equality, and I promise to do everything in my power to fight misguided executive actions like this one. No American should be denied the care they need, full stop.

Will you stand with me and denounce this harmful and discriminatory rule?

Thank you,

Jennifer

AMY AND RACHEL MADDOW. AMY KLOBUCHAR.

David,

Did you catch Amy on Rachel Maddow last night? As Amy said, she’s traveled across the country talking to voters and while people are concerned about the rule of law, they’re also asking about the bread-and-butter issues -- like how to afford their prescription drugs and how to get their kids a good education.

President Trump talks a big game, but while those at the top are reaping the rewards, Americans are worried about paying for rent or childcare, or losing their health care altogether if they have a preexisting condition.

As President, Amy will always stand up for what’s right, and that includes delivering real results for all Americans. But to get her to the White House, this homegrown campaign needs your support today.

Thanks,
Team Amy

Important numbers from Bernie and AOC. BERNIE SANDERS AND ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ.

Bernie and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have some important numbers, David.
  • $113 billion: how much Americans paid last year in interest on credit cards — 50 percent more than just five years ago.
  • 35 percent: how much of Macy’s and Kohl’s total income, at least, came from credit card interest they charge customers.
  • $1.4 billion: how much JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon is worth, thanks to sky high fees, usurious interest rates, and plain Wall Street greed.
  • 15 percent: what Bernie and AOC’s new plan will cap credit card interest rates at, so companies stop extorting the American people.
  • 1: signature we need from you to become a citizen co-sponsor of Bernie’s plan in the Senate to cap credit card interest rates at 15 percent.
In solidarity,
Team Bernie
