WE DID IT! U.S. REPRESENTATIVE JENNIFER WEXTON.

We did it, David!

Last night we won this election and are finally sending our values to Congress. I am beyond grateful to everyone who gave their time, money and passion to help us win this race. This campaign was never about me, it was about the thousands of VA-10 residents who didn’t feel like they had a voice in our government. Thanks to you, we changed that.

Barbara Comstock called me last night to congratulate me on our victory and wish me luck in the new Congress. I thanked her for her years of service to our district and wished her well.
The blue wave swept throughout the country last night and it started right here in VA-10. We were the first seat of many to turn blue last night and it wouldn’t have happened without your support. Now that we’ve won, the real work begins.

The next couple of years are not going to be easy. I’m headed to Congress to fight for better health care and common sense gun legislation. But this administration will not go along with our agenda just because we control the house. Advancing our work will be difficult, but I’m up for the task.

Thank you again for your support throughout this campaign. Let’s take today to celebrate and tomorrow we'll get back to work.

Be in touch,
Jennifer

My record speaks for itself. STATE SENATE CANDIDATE JENNIFER BOYSKO.

Dear David,

After Congresswoman-Elect Jennifer Wexton's amazing victory yesterday, I announced that I am running to become your Democratic candidate for Virginia's 33rd State Senate District. Jennifer will be vacating the seat when she goes to Washington to serve us. I've focused all year to help her win her seat. In fact, I've been working to flip this seat for the better part of 2 decades with many of you! Now that her race is complete, today I would like to tell you more about myself and my record, so that you know you can count on me to stand up for you and your rights in Richmond.

For 22 years, I have worked tirelessly to build an inclusive and vibrant environment here in Northern Virginia. I first got involved in Virginia politics working on Howard Dean’s Presidential campaign in 2003, eventually becoming the campaign’s Statewide Director. I have been a longtime grassroots organizer, helping Democrats up and down the ticket in the Dulles area over the past 15 years. I flipped the 86th District from Red to Blue when I was elected to Virginia’s House of Delegates in 2015. In that race, the Republicans threw everything they had at me, spending over $1.2 million. During the 2017 cycle, I also served as the Finance Chair for the House Democratic Caucus and played a large role in raising money to help our 15 new members win their seats (all while facing my own race which I won with 68% of the vote).

The 86th District is now solidly Blue. I am being called now to help in the Senate. To tell you about my earlier work, I have served my community in many leadership roles over the past 22 years. As a board member for NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia, as a Stephens Minister and a member of the Diocean Council at my church, a member of the Democratic State Central Committee and in the PTSA in my daughters' school. As a leader in Northern Virginia politics, I helped found the Dulles Area Democrats, bringing Loudoun County and Fairfax County Democrats together across jurisdictional boundaries. At the local level, I worked for Dranesville County Supervisor John Foust covering education, human services, housing and land use and transportation planning for nearly 6 years. In that capacity I made sure that we worked across jurisdictions to have a regional focus because traffic and roads don't stop at the county border at the staff level. I understand local and regional issues we face in the Dulles Corridor.

We have to keep the 33rd Senate seat and I am ready for the fight, no matter who the Republicans put up against me. A special primary on Saturday, Nov. 17th will determine who takes over Wexton’s seat for the remainder of her term. We only have 10 days to raise funds for our campaign and could really use your help.
I am a battle-tested, dedicated progressive who wants to serve you.

UPDATE:-11/17/2018. 2018 MID-TERM ELECTIONS: MORE TRUMP DELUSIONS, MORE DEMOCRATIC APATHY.

Trump, False, Fake, Deception, Ruse

As of today, with the Florida recount still going on, the following is a recap of Senatorial Contests
that have been concluded:

DEMOCRATS- 22 VICTORIES.

REPUBLICANS- 9 VICTORIES.

INDEPENDENTS- 2 VICTORIES.

2 UNDECIDED.

HOWEVER, SINCE THIS IS NOT A FINAL EVALUATION,
I WILL ONLY PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION.

VOTE TOTALS SO FAR:

DEMOCRATS- 50,388,364 votes (58.5%)

REPUBLICANS- 34,422,837 votes (39.9%)

DEMOCRATIC VOTERS, YOU SHOWED UP AGAIN.
CONGRATULATIONS, BE PROUD, AND PLACE ANY
BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS.

In 2016 I watched the Media, and the Democratic Party, ignore bogus returns in 6 States that allowed Donald Trump to enter the White House. Well, it's 2018 and they are still finding ways to keep him happy, by ignoring the obvious.

As you probably know by now, the 2018 Mid-Term elections have ended, and the Democratic Party has taken control of the U.S. House of Representatives. (As of right now, the count is 224-197, Source New York Times.)

However, Trump and the Media are emphasizing the fact that the Republicans still control the Senate, as if it is a major accomplishment. The Democrats don't seem to be questioning this assessment.
(As of right now, they have 51 seats, which is the same number held prior to the mid-term elections. Yes, they could add 2-3 seats to this total, with 3 races still not called; Source New York Times.)

Now, this is a victory, but how big is it really?

The 2018 Mid- Term elections had 35 Senate Seats to be contested.
These seats broke down the following way, according to which party occupied the office.

24 Democrats, 9 Republicans, 2 Independent.
(Caucus with the Democrats, and                                                           are usually grouped                                                                               with them.)

That meant that 65 seats could not change hands. What was the make up of the seats not contested?
Republican- 42    Democrat- 23.

The Republicans had a 19 seat advantage before a single vote was cast. These numbers were the result of previous elections, and were not a reflection of Donald Trumps time in office. Now if we assume the Republicans end up with the total of 54 seats, it would mean the following:

THE TOTALS WOULD BE- DEMOCRATS- 21 WINS, REPUBLICANS- 12 WINS, INDEPENDENTS- 2 WINS.

What does this mean?

At the start of election day, The Republicans had a 19 seat advantage. In the end, it was 8 seats.

To keep majority control of the Senate, the Republicans needed to
win 9 of the 35 seats.

To gain majority control of the Senate, the Democrats needed to win 28 of the 35 seats.

With these numbers, exactly who was predicting a Democratic take over of the Senate?

In the end, the Democrats essentially won TWO-THIRDS OF THE SENATE SEATS CONTESTED ON NOVEMBER 6TH.

THIS IS A VICTORY FOR THE REPUBLICANS?

WELL DEMOCRATS, HOPE FOR MANY MORE REPUBLICAN "VICTORIES" LIKE THIS.

Tomorrow we hold Trump accountable. democrats.com, BLUE WAVE VOTERS.

DAVID -
Tomorrow is our last chance to flip the U.S. House of Representatives and put a real check on this lawless and dangerous administration. Voters in all 50 states have a Congressperson on your ballot, so your vote counts!

Flipping the House will put Jerry Nadler in charge of the Judiciary Committee, Elijah Cummings leading the Oversight Committee, Maxine Waters chairing the Financial Services Committee, and Adam Schiff leading the Intelligence Committee. We could finally see real and meaningful investigations of massive corruption in the Trump administration.

And it's not just about Washington DC. We can win back Governorships, state legislatures, town halls, judges, and prosecutors - who make crucial decisions about our healthcare, schools, environment, prisons, and guns.
