Big deal (Planned Parenthood) GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE MOLLY KELLY.

Dear David,
Throughout my life, I’ve championed women’s reproductive rights.
So when news broke yesterday that Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund endorsed me for governor of New Hampshire, it was a big deal.
Planned Parenthood is on the front lines for women in New Hampshire and across our country to make sure everyone has access to the health care they need – from cancer screenings to LGBTQ services to reproductive health care.
I share their commitment, and I’m proud and honored to have their endorsement.
Now is a critical time for Planned Parenthood and women’s reproductive rights.
It’s been a generation since we’ve faced this big of a threat to reproductive rights.
With Brett Kavanaugh, Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, on the cusp of a lifetime appointment, we’re facing unprecedented attacks on a woman’s right to access a safe, legal abortion. And Chris Sununu is supporting Kavanaugh anyway.
As governor, I won’t allow women’s reproductive rights to go backward. Every woman, regardless of income, will continue to have access to a safe, legal abortion as long as I’m in the corner office.
Now I need your help to unseat a Republican governor to protect reproductive rights for Granite Staters.
Thank you,
Molly Kelly

Dear David,

News last week signaling what might be the beginning of the end of mass forced conscript labor in Eritrea is an unprecedented, if uncertain, development. This system, which leaves the majority of the population indefinitely trapped, sometimes in the private economy, puts any company investing in the country at considerable risk of being complicit in slavery.

Tell investors that Eritrea is not yet a country to do business with.

I
t is welcome news that the latest batch of military recruits are said to have been told that their service will not exceed 18 months.[1] But no official announcement has been made confirming any change in policy, let alone any sign of sweeping changes necessary to transition away from the Eritrean government’s reliance on forced labor of conscripts.

As relations between Eritrea and Ethiopia thaw, change is possible – the conflict was the basis of the Eritrean government’s justification of indefinite leave. However, that journey is likely to be long and our partner Eritrea Focus warns us “not to allow the joy to cloud our judgement.” The same warning must be heeded by investors.

Add your voice to 69,000 others and tell shareholders to sell their holdings in Eritrea.

Freedom United launched its campaign on Eritrea in November 2016. We are calling on investors to sell their holdings in Nevsun Resources, a Canadian company that runs the Bisha mine,[2] and is facing court proceedings for its alleged role in benefitting from the forced conscript labor regime.[3]

Join our call – foreign companies and investors should not be profiting from, and thereby supporting, a state system that exploits Eritrea's citizens on a mass scale.

In solidarity,

Joanna, Miriam and the whole team at Freedom United

Dear Searchingforreason.N,
For nearly two years, we have weathered the Trump-Pence administration’s political attacks on our health and rights. But these same attacks have also spurred a groundswell of opposition from people who are fighting for a world where everyone has the freedom and opportunity to control their own lives. For the first time since Trump took office, we have an opportunity to reject his dangerous agenda up and down the ballot.
Here in Massachusetts, we have endorsed a slate of candidates for the Massachusetts State House who will prioritize access to sexual and reproductive health care and defend the health, rights, and freedoms of all Massachusetts residents. By electing and reelecting these leaders, we will be able to advance a bold legislative agenda in our state and protect ourselves from the Trump-Pence administration. But these races are close, and we need your help to win.
The Electoral Volunteer Corps is a leadership and training program for Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund supporters and volunteers. To join, you must be able to devote four hours per week for canvassing, phone banking, training, and other opportunities where you will represent our movement in some of 2018's most competitive local races. The program will kick off officially on Sunday, September 9th.
2018 is our moment. After months of marching, it’s time we take up our clipboards and knock some doors. Join me in the fight for a healthier, more equitable future.
Thank you,
Kim Kargman

Education Update. GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE. MOLLY KELLY.

David,
Did you see the news?
Today, the New Hampshire affiliate of the American Federation of Teachers formally endorsed this campaign because of my deeply rooted commitment to public education and New Hampshire’s children. Every child in our state deserves a quality education.
But Chris Sununu’s school voucher plan would siphon money from public schools and funnel our tax dollars into private, religious schools.
We need your help. If reelected, Chris Sununu says his top priority will be school vouchers, which would weaken public schools and raise your property taxes. That’s wrong.
We know vouchers are Chris Sununu’s top priority, because he stood with Betsy DeVos, instead of New Hampshire teachers, parents and families.
I’m proud of my record for standing up for public education for 10 years as a state senator – and, as your governor, I won’t stop. Join me in supporting our public schools and teachers.
Thank you,
Molly
