THE CLOWN PRINCE OF THE "FASCIST/REPUBLICAN" PARTY THROWS ANOTHER TEMPER TANTRUM. AFTER ALL, NO ONE SHOULD FACT CHECK HIM!!!

Trump threatens to crack down on social media platforms after Twitter labels his tweets.

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to "strongly regulate" or even shut down social media platforms after Twitter applied a fact-check to two of his tweets this week.
Trump did not elaborate on what actions he could take. But the threat is Trump's clearest expression of intent to use the power of government to target his perceived political enemies in the private sector -- businesses that already enjoy wide latitude under the law to moderate their platforms as they see fit. And it raises the stakes for Twitter and Facebook as they grapple with Trump's misleading claims about mail-in voting and his baseless insinuations that a cable TV news host had a hand in an aide's death decades ago.
"Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen," Trump tweeted Wednesday. He went on to accuse the tech industry of trying to interfere in the 2016 election, before repeating an unfounded claim about voter fraud stemming from mail-in ballots.
"We can't let large scale Mail-In Ballots take root in our Country," Trump tweeted. "It would be a free for all on cheating, forgery and the theft of Ballots. Whoever cheated the most would win. Likewise, Social Media. Clean up your act, NOW!!!!"
Facebook and Twitter declined to comment Wednesday.
Later Wednesday morning, Trump teased a "big action" regarding social media but declined to elaborate on what that could be.
Trump's Twitter outburst followed an unprecedented decision by the platform on Tuesday evening to apply a fact-checking label to Trump's content for the first time.
The label, which Twitter has designed to combat misinformation and unverified claims, linked to a curated page with links and summaries of articles describing how Trump's claims on mail-in ballots are unfounded.
Shortly after the labels were applied, Trump took to Twitter to claim the company "is interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election" and "stifling FREE SPEECH." He added that he "will not allow it to happen!"
But Twitter's fact-checking decision raised further questions about whether it would apply the same treatment to Trump's misleading claims about Lori Klausutis, the aide to former Rep. Joe Scarborough, a prominent critic of Trump. In recent days, Trump has leveled unsubstantiated allegations at Scarborough suggesting he was responsible for Klausutis's death. The claims have been undermined by the official autopsy, which found Klausutis had an undiagnosed heart condition. Klausutis's husband, Timothy Klausutis, reiterated that in a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey last week, saying that Trump's claims denigrated the memory of his wife for perceived political gain.
Twitter has told CNN Business that it will not be removing the tweets about Scarborough.

    Trump's options limited

Trump's options for cracking down on social media are somewhat limited, legal experts say.
The most "obvious" course of action, according to Andrew Schwartzman of the Benton Institute for Broadband and Society, would be for Trump to seek changes to the Communications Decency Act, which shields tech platforms from legal liability for a wide range of online content.
There has been an ongoing push, led by the Justice Department and Republicans in Congress, to do just that. Changing the law would require building broad consensus in a deadlocked Congress. The Trump administration could not go it alone. A new law that specifies how tech companies must police their platforms could raise questions about the law's constitutionality.
On Wednesday, Federal Communications Commission member Jessica Rosenworcel, a Democratic-affiliated commissioner on the five-member commission, appeared to allude to that when she tweeted the text of the First Amendment.
Trump could pressure agencies such as the FCC and the Federal Trade Commission to take action against social media companies. But the agencies have previously resisted efforts by the White House to transform them into arbiters of political speech, and experts say the FCC lacks jurisdiction anyway over Twitter and Facebook.
Privately, officials from the FCC and FTC have expressed concerns about a prior proposal from the White House to appoint those agencies as direct regulators of political content on social media.
Meanwhile, major tech industry players remain under federal and state antitrust investigation. But antitrust probes tend to be highly technical and are usually limited to the impact of corporate conduct on competition in the marketplace.
David Vladeck, a Georgetown University law professor and former top FTC consumer protection official, said any government push to restrict how private platforms moderate their websites could raise First Amendment questions.
"This is just another example of Trump thinking that the Constitution makes him a king, but it doesn't," he said.

    Long-standing complaints from conservatives

Trump and conservatives have long complained that tech platforms algorithmically censor right-wing voices. The claims derive from a perception that Silicon Valley's largely left-leaning workforce has designed social media products to discriminate against conservatives, though the companies strongly deny the allegations.
Some executives, like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, have sought to accommodate conservative voices by meeting with them privately, and even meeting with Trump himself.
Trump has previously suggested that the US government could take action against media he dislikes. Last year, the White House set up a website to solicit complaints from the public about tech companies' perceived political bias, and Trump has called for an examination of NBC's television license, even though it does not have one.
Earlier this month, Trump tweeted: "The Radical Left is in total command & control of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google," and promised, without specifics, that his administration would "remedy this illegal situation." Following that tweet, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump has considered establishing a White House commission to study allegations of conservative bias.

BLAST FROM THE PAST, 7/10/2017: TRUMPS PRIORITIES...

BLAST FROM THE PAST, 7/10/2017: TRUMPS PRIORITIES; NOT THE PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT, BUT MORE INTERNET GET RICH QUICK SCHEMES.

What has surprised me the most about Donald Trumps Decision to abandon the PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT is not that he went through with it, but that ANYONE IS SURPRISED.

HE WAS HANDED THE WHITE HOUSE IN A SHAM ELECTION.

      -  WHAT DID YOU EXPECT, INTEGRITY?

HIS ENTIRE PRESIDENCY HAS BEEN ONE SCANDAL AFTER ANOTHER.

      -  WHAT DID YOU EXPECT, A DECISION THAT ACTUALLY PUT THE NEEDS OF THE COUNTRY, AND ITS CITIZENS, FIRST?

DONALD TRUMPS FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC POLICY IS LITTLE MORE THAN THE FAR RIGHTS AGENDA OF HATE, PREJUDICE, INTOLERANCE, AND AN ALMOST COMPLETE DISREGARD OF MODERN SCIENCE, AND THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD.

      -  WHAT DID YOU EXPECT, COURAGE?

However, I have found one thing TRUMP IS STILL PASSIONATE ABOUT. NATURALLY, IT ONLY BENEFITS HIMSELF.

"GET RICH QUICK" SCHEMES ON THE INTERNET. GUESS WHAT? HE HAS FOUND HIMSELF A NEW LACKEY/ALLY. THAT PARAGON OF VIRTUE, BILL O'REILLY.

Here are portions of the AD, as it appears on the INTERNET.

Bill O'Reilly drops a bombshell and explains the REAL reason he was fired.

By Michael Pearson, Faith Karimi and Joe Sutton, CNN
Updated 8:11 AM ET, Fri June 2, 2017

(CNN) -- Bill O'Reilly finally breaks his media silence to reveal the real reason he was asked to leave Fox News. - It's not what you've heard.
Bill O'Reilly says he was fired from Fox News because he knows the truth about something called the Complete Profit Code and not because of the alleged complaints against him.
"It's time people knew the truth -- not just about me, but about the entire operation. It's about the money. I thought they cared about me, and about the truth... they only care about one thing."

"We were going to be telling people about The Complete Profit Code, so that we could help the American People create more income for themselves. We spent months researching and vetting this story, to make sure it was 100% legit, and now, no one will ever see it."

"The real key to this story is what this woman, Judy Greer is able to do for average folks, people who need a way out. This is a real game changer, and I'm ashamed to admit it, BUT FOX NEWS TRIED TO SHUT ME UP..."

      ...AND NOW THE ENDORSEMENT.
"My only saving grace here is that the President backs me on this. He knows Judy Greer and he knows me and he knows I'm right."
Neither Ms. Greer or President Trump is attempting to distance themselves from O'Reilly as this very public scandal plays out in the media, even though neither stands to gain from a continued relationship with him.
"The truth is, my name is toxic right now. But they have continued to stand by me, because they know I've done nothing wrong. That's why I'm so dedicated to still spreading the word about The Complete Profit Code. If nothing else comes of this, at least we can help some people save themselves financially."

Fiction- Stories, Myths and Legends. REWARD FOR THE FALLEN. FULL STORY

      PART 1.
      green trees

The man found himself on a dirt road.  How he came to be there was a mystery, for he could not remember the circumstances of his arrival.  In fact, he had no recollection of anything in the past.  All around him was an alien landscape and heavy foliage lined the path that stretched into the distance.
"What is going on?", he said to himself, "Why am I here?"  The man decided that perhaps the answer lay at the end of the trail, so he began to walk.

After a short time, a shape emerged before him, seemingly out of nowhere.  The man was startled, but regained his composure quickly.  Looking the newcomer over, the man was puzzled.  The figure was dressed in a shabby manner, wearing a worn out buckskin shirt and pants, and carrying an antiquated flintlock rifle.

The man wanted to speak to this new arrival, but never had the chance.  With a cursory glance, the one blocking his way said in a plain gruff voice; "You are on the right path, continue."  On that note, the individual stepped back into the overgrowth and disappeared.

"Strange," said the man, "an obvious eccentric."  So he continued on his way.

A short time later the man found his path once again blocked by an individual that appeared suddenly and without warning.  This time the intruder was dressed in a blue tunic, with matching blue trousers that had a yellow stripe running down the side of each leg.

Again, the man was given a quick once over, and then was addressed in an accent he couldn't identify;  "Ah, not a Son of Erin, but you'll do.  You're on the right path, continue."  As before, the way was made clear by the departure of this most recent interloper.

The man was confused.  "What is going on," he thought, "why am I here, and who are they that seem to pass judgment on whether or not to allow me to continue my journey?"

REWARD FOR THE FALLEN.  PT 2.

      Wwii, Memorial, Quote, Monument, War

The man shook his head in bewilderment and continued on his quest to find the end of the trail.
However, things began to get more confusing.  Now his journey was often interrupted by individuals who spoke in languages he could not identify.  Almost as strange was the array of clothing that outfitted some of those who blocked his path.

Often they were quite colorful and very extravagant.  Yet, at other times they seemed quite simple, often consisting of a plain tunic or robe.  Attire on the head and feet also represented both ends of the spectrum. It could be a helmet or cap accompanied with boots, or bare-headed with sandals.

It was not just the clothes that became more varied.  Individuals came in all sizes with many different skin colors being represented.  From time to time the newcomer was a woman, who treated him with identical solemness.

The man was becoming extremely frustrated, but that only seemed to strengthen his resolve to complete the journey.  There were a couple of more things that lifted his spirits.  He knew, inexplicably, that each person was dressed in some type of uniform.  Additionally, that they all were evaluating him and the judgment was universally positive, whether or not he understood the words spoken.  It was the tone of voice that came through loud and clear.

REWARD FOR THE FALLEN.  PT 3.

green trees and plants during daytime
After what seemed to be an eternity, the man came upon a gate that crossed the path.  There was no way around, for the vegetation off the road seemed impenetrable.

As he gasped in frustration, he became aware of an approaching figure on the other side.  While this individual was dressed in now familiar clothes, his manner and look were different.  To the man, he appeared to be in his early twenties, but his wide open smile set him apart from recent contacts.

"Hello Tony," the new arrival said, leaning against the gate.  "I guess you're wondering what the heck is going on."

The man looked intently at his counterpart and whispered out loud, "George Mellen, you were killed in a firefight outside of...," then he suddenly stopped, memories flooding back.

"Yeah, said his host, "I was killed in that tiny village, the one command considered vital to securing the region.  Caught one in the throat.  Wrong place, wrong time", he chuckled.

The man looked into the face of this lost comrade, and suddenly noticed that they were not alone.  Figures appeared from the trees that lay beyond the gated fence.  They were represented by every manner of dress he had already encountered, and some still unfamiliar.  The man was scared, but pride refused to let it be known to others.

"Tony, your home." His benefactor said, opening the gate.  The man hesitated crossing the threshold, and asked, "Am I dead, is this Heaven?"

"You're dead, that much is sure," George replied, "in time you'll recall the circumstances.  Is this Heaven? Let's just say it is an outpost on the edge of forever.  Just a place for men and women like you and me to rest, exchange stories and prepare for what comes next."

As he passed through the gate, Tony became aware of the beauty of his new surroundings, and a feeling of peace and serenity settled over him.  Suddenly, he understood.  Turning to his companion he asked, "Is this just for us, no one else. Why?"

George gave him a slight smile, and as others gathered around them to offer welcome to the new arrival, answered; "I guess someone figured that those of us who gave all it was possible to give, and lost our lives with such brutality, deserved a special place where our sacrifice was acknowledged and appreciated.  I never expected such a place would exist, but our kind never asked for much in return.  Maybe that is why it's here, because we earned something we would never have asked for."

      THE END.
