Country Over Party Newsletter – Vol. 5. CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE KEN HARBAUGH.

David,
It is hard to believe that summer is right around the corner.
But Team Harbaugh isn’t taking a vacation because this campaign is heating up, too. Here’s a look back at the last few weeks here in the OH7.
Ken won his Primary Election. Team Harbaugh volunteers knocked on thousands of doors and made tens of thousands of phone calls. Thanks to them and thanks to YOU, Ken won in a landslide -- earning over 80% of the vote.

Team Harbaugh welcomed some incredible new members, including a few familiar faces. Ken was honored to meet with Representatives Cheri Bustos and Conor Lamb, who have championed the rights of workers in America’s heartland.

Vice President Joe Biden officially endorsed Ken! Team Harbaugh has been working tirelessly here in Ohio and folks across the country are starting to notice. Biden praised Ken as “a proven leader who represents the kind of courage we need in Washington today."

Ken continued holding Country Over Party Town Halls throughout the district. The word PRESENT is in the word REPRESENTATIVE. That’s why Ken shows up, looks his neighbors in the eye, and has conversations about issues that matter to all of us.

Ken marched to honor the fallen in the Canton Memorial Day parade. Once a year, we take a day to recognize the men and women in uniform who made the ultimate sacrifice to secure our freedom. Ken, a veteran himself, is fighting to bring representation to Congress that understands the gravity of that sacrifice.

If you missed these events or any of the other great things happening here at Team Harbaugh, try following us on Facebook or on the Events page of our website. We would love to see you at a coffee hour, BBQ, or another campaign event soon.

Thank you for being on this journey with us.

Want a blue wave? Elect women. EMILY's LIST.

David,

The numbers don't lie: The blue wave will be powered by women.

So far, primaries have been held in 147 House districts, and women have been the nominees in 43 percent of the Democratic contests.

That's an excellent start. But 19 states and D.C. have primary elections in June — and we need to keep up the support for pro-choice Democratic women in competitive races.

Unsurprisingly, the numbers on the Republican side are fairly weak.

In the primaries held so far, just 7 percent of all the Republican House nominees have been women.

That's because there just isn't a Republican equivalent of EMILY's List — we're the organization for women in politics, and our support really does make a difference.

Five months out from Election Day, we've already helped 13 of our House candidates through their primaries, and two more are heading to runoffs.

But we still have 36 House women facing primaries — not to mention dozens of other women running for state and local office, too!

Thanks — and go team!

Emily Cain
Executive Director, EMILY's List

Have you heard the news? CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE JENNIFER WEXTON.

Did you see this, David? Last week, Jennifer was endorsed by The Washington Post! This is a big deal for Jennifer’s campaign, and they had some really great things to say about her.
We want to make sure everyone knows The Washington Post is supporting Jennifer.

You already know she is the best candidate to face Barbara Comstock in November and flip VA-10 from red to blue. Jennifer’s work in the State Senate proves it -- even The Washington Post said so. Her record includes over 40 measures passed with bipartisan support, including regulating day-care centers and easing access to medication that prevents deaths from opioid overdoses.

Jennifer’s ability to break down partisan divides and get things done is exactly why the Post is supporting her and why she will be such an outstanding member of Congress.

Thank you,
Team Wexton.

Our Election Day Strategy. CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE JOSH WELLE.

Hi David,

I’m Mike, the Welle for Congress campaign manager, and tomorrow is the big day - Primary Election Day!

It has been nearly 9 months since we started this campaign and, in that time, we have crisscrossed Monmouth, Ocean, and Mercer counties - meeting with active community leaders, concerned parents, engaged senior citizens, hopeful small business owners, and emboldened activist groups - all focused on defeating Chris Smith in November and flipping New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District from Red to Blue!

This weekend we had over 100 volunteers knock on 5,000 doors across the District.  This takes a lot of work and coordination:

For the first time in 37 years, the Democratic Party is energized to defeat Rep. Chris Smith and put Central Jersey on the map! Let’s win on June 5th!

Thank you for your support,
Mike Beson
