MESSAGE TO ALL PROGRESSIVES: 2008-2016 A PROGRESSIVE LEGACY HANDED TO DONALD TRUMP WITHOUT A FIGHT.

A PROGRESSIVE LEGACY

Over the last Eight Years we have seen Progressive Democrats support
an Economic Policy that included;

-  An increase in the Federal Minimum Wage of 7.25/ hr.
Which was opposed, and killed, by Congressional Republicans.
( However, on the State Level, there are examples of Minimum Wage
Guidelines that the Republican Party couldn't stop).

-  Expanding the Time Period for receiving Unemployment Benefits, to
   Temporarily Relieve Financial Distress associated with Job loss.

-  Financial Relief for crippling costs incurred through Higher Education.

-  Consumer Laws protecting Americans from predatory practices by
    Dishonest Marketers.

    Of course this list does not include the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT,
    which resulted in Millions of Americans obtaining Medical Care
    Insurance that would not result in Crippling Debt, or a Dramatic
    Decrease in Their Quality of Life.

The Republicans, besides attempting to stop all of the above, stuck with
the old "TRICKLE DOWN THEORY" OF ECONOMICS. Lets see what
that includes:

TAX BREAK INCENTIVES, WHICH ALLOWS THE RICHEST AMERICANS
TO RETAIN MORE OF THEIR WEALTH, WITH THE HOPE THAT THEY WILL
 PUMP THAT MONEY BACK INTO THE ECONOMY.

TO RECEIVE THIS INCENTIVE, ARE THEY
REQUIRED TO:

-  INVEST IN SPECIFIC INDUSTRIES THAT ARE STRUGGLING?- NO.

-  FINANCIALLY SUPPORT CORPORATIONS WHO PROVIDE A LIVING
   WAGE, OR A MEDICAL PLAN FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES?- NO.

-  ONLY SUPPORT AMERICAN BUSINESSES, INSTEAD OF TAKING THE
    FINANCIAL WINDFALL OVERSEAS?-  NO.

THESE TAX BREAKS ARE BASED ON THE "HOPE" THAT THEY WILL BE USED
TO BENEFIT THE COUNTRY AS A WHOLE.

However, don't worry. If these incentives are used unwisely, and the MONEY DISAPPEARS,
ALL IS NOT LOST. CORPORATIONS FORMED ARE PLACED INTO BANKRUPTCY,
MEANING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE FOOTING THE BILL FOR POOR MONEY
MANAGEMENT.  AS FOR THE WEALTHY INDIVIDUALS WHO RECEIVED THE
TAX BREAK BENEFITS, AND LOST THE MONEY? THEY WILL JUST DECLARE THESE
LOSSES ON THEIR INDIVIDUAL TAX RETURNS, AND BASICALLY GET IT ALL BACK.

THE REPUBLICANS- WHO ARE THEY FIGHTING FOR AGAIN?

FEATURE ARTICLES- MESSAGE TO ALL PROGRESSIVES: DON'T YOU SEE IT, EVEN NOW? PART 6.

With the National Election coming up soon, I think it's important to point out the vital Decision that the American People are about to make. It is more than just CLINTON vs TRUMP, OR DEMOCRAT vs REPUBLICAN.  Voters are deciding a direction that can continue, and expand upon, the last Eight Years of a PRESIDENCY THAT SAW PROGRESSIVE POLICIES ATTEMPTING TO ADDRESS A NUMBER OF LONG STANDING AND UNRESOLVED ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN PLAGUING THE U.S. FOR DECADES.

Unfortunately, the REPUBLICAN PARTIES desire to repress and derail anything that could be considered a positive achievement by the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME, OR THE POTENTIAL GOOD THAT IT WOULD DO FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS, HAS GIVEN US DONALD TRUMP.  IN THE FUTURE, THIS WILL BECOME KNOWN AS THE ONLY LEGACY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF THE LAST EIGHT YEARS CAN POINT TO... HOW PROUD LINCOLN WOULD BE.

Let us make a short list that could explain the rise of Donald Trump.

#1- The Affordable Care Act has allowed Millions of Americans access to Health Care.    
       However, on a case by case basis, there may be those who have fallen through the
       cracks, and have suffered economic distress because of the Law.

      The President and Progressive Democrats suggest altering parts of the ACA to provide
       relief for such cases.
     
       The Republicans- Repeal the Law.

#2-  Immigration.
       The President and Progressive Democrats propose:
       To Provide Assistance, and an Opportunity, for Refugees and Immigrants to Live and
       Work in the U.S. This includes Extensive Background Checks, Waiting Period,
       Possible Sponsorship, and Obtaining Legal Employment for Tax Purposes.

       The Republicans- GET OUT, AND STAY OUT.
       ONLY CHRISTIANS FROM SPECIFIC COUNTRIES NEED APPLY.

On Wednesday night I gave my final speech to a Democratic convention as president. I’m grateful I got to spend it talking about why Hillary is the right person to succeed me in the White House. She is going to be an exceptional leader because she is an exceptional person.

David, Hillary has my trust because I know her, and I know her heart. 

My respect for Hillary has been reaffirmed time and time again by those who have known her for decades.

In 2012, we traveled to Burma together and met people she remembered from the time she was First Lady nearly twenty years before -- and they hadn’t forgotten her, either. A year later, when we flew to South Africa in 2013 to pay our respects at Nelson Mandela’s funeral, I could see in the eyes of his 

family how much she had meant to him.

Hillary commands any room she enters because her wisdom, her patience, and her generosity of spirit are impossible to deny. I counted on her advice on everything from foreign policy to how to raise my daughters in the White House. She treats everyone she encounters with decency and dignity, whether the cameras are on or off.

I am proud to see Hillary become our party’s nominee, and I can’t wait to see her win this election and become our 45th President.
