 If you pull up anything like this on a Google Search:

$SEARCHINGFORREASON.NET- THIS DOMAIN IS REGISTERED, BUT MIGHT BE AVAILABLE. DO NOT USE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION.  

IT IS A LIE. I own the Domain Name, and it is not available. Check out the Dollar Sign. "The Do not use my personal information" implies my participation, which did not occur.

I believe it is used to scare away new readers, and/or a Deliberate Attempt at Fraud.
