WORTHWHILE OR WORTHLESS- A CONSUMER GUIDE TO AVOIDING SCAMS AND SCOUNDRELS. MORE HEALTH SCAMS- WATCH OUT FOR THE SIGNS OF BAD SCIENCE, AND FRAUD. PT 5.

Question-  If You, and a Friend or Co-Worker etc., came up with, or Invented a new Dietary Supplement that caused Immediate Weight Loss, or Increased Lean Muscle Mass, what would you do with this New Miracle Product?

Since Dietary Supplements are not considered Drugs, in that They can be Sold and Taken without a Prescription, the FDA Still Requires that All Ingredients be Listed for the Consumer, and that They are Safe to be Used in a Manner Directed by the Manufacturer.

HOWEVER, SAFETY DOES NOT EQUAL EFFECTIVENESS.

Any Claims made by the Manufacturer about the Benefits of Taking such a Supplement, must be backed up with Proper Clinical Testing that can be Duplicated and Verified.  Now, if those procedures are followed, it may take several years.  HOWEVER, IN THE END, YOU ARE LEFT WITH A PRODUCT YOU CAN SAFELY AND LEGALLY ENDORSE AS EFFECTIVE.  THERE IS NO NEED FOR THE "THIS PRODUCT HAS NOT BEEN..." STATEMENTS PLACED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ADVERTISEMENT.  You have a Product that the Medical Community and Government Regulators agree DOES WHAT YOU CLAIM.

So why don't They do it?  Time, Money, and Gullibility.

TIME-  Drugs, such as Vaccines, are Tested for a number of YEARS Because of Their Clinical Affect on the Body.  These Tests look for Long and Short Term Side Affects, as well as its Primary Purpose, be it PREVENTIVE OR CURATIVE.

However, DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS do not affect the Body in the same way. The INGREDIENTS will not CURE OR PREVENT ANYTHING, BECAUSE BY THEIR VERY CHEMICAL NATURE, THEY CAN'T. So, why are They are placed on the MARKET QUICKLY, WITH LITTLE TESTING DONE?
