AMERICAN PHILOSOPHICAL ASSOCIATION: Member Webinar on “How to Lead in a Crisis” replay now available.

American Philosophical Association

Dear DAVID,

Yesterday, the APA held a webinar for APA members, How to Lead in a Crisis: Philosophy Department Chairs and the COVID-19 Pandemic. The replay of the webinar is now available online.

The webinar includes brief presentations from three philosophers, followed by Q&A with attendees. The panelists for the webinar are the following:
  • Janet Stemwedel (San Jose State University)
  • Lori Watson (University of San Diego)
  • R. Lanier Anderson (Stanford University)
This webinar offers useful advice and insight for philosophy department chairs in navigating the many challenges created by the global coronavirus outbreak.

I encourage you to visit the Department Chairs Network community on the APA Connect platform to continue this discussion. If you have a suggestion for a topic for a future webinar, submit this form.

All the best,

Amy Ferrer

UNBELIEVABLE!!! FLIP THE SENATE.

This is unbelievable, David —
Millions of Americans have lost their jobs and health insurance because of the coronavirus outbreak, yet President Trump is refusing to allow these recently unemployed workers to sign up for health insurance through Obamacare with a special enrollment period.
SIGN THE PETITION
Time and again, Republicans have dismissed Democrats’ demands to help American workers struggling during this crisis as “ideological wish lists,” and we cannot let them get away with it again.
Refusing to reopen the Obamacare markets is cruel, and is making it more difficult for Americans who have lost their jobs to get the health care they need to take care of themselves and their families during this public health crisis.
SIGN THE PETITION
Thanks for taking action.
