WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THIS, THAT WILL HELP US TODAY?



As another "Crisis" has been averted, and a Temporary Budget keeps the Federal Government running for now, the claims of Shady and Unscrupulous Compromises are coming from all sides.

I'm not going to Deny that. Given the Circumstances, its almost certainly True. This is Exemplified by the Inclusion in the Body of the Budget, passed by the House Of Reps., Terminology to Reduce or Eliminate certain parts of Finance Reform Law, set up to hold Irresponsible Investors Accountable for Their Actions. Tax Payer Bailouts were no longer a way out for Incompetence and/or Greed.  This was something Major Financial Institutions did not want, and with Bi-Partisan support, they got it included.

The Real Question is this:  How do Politicians, who continually Lobby and Vote for Legislation that seems to Benefit  Very Select Groups of Individuals and Businesses, keep getting Supported and Reelected?  Often, this is by a Majority of Voters who suffer from the Stands they take on the Issues.  Is it some Sinister Plot, A Lack of Insight by the Electorate, or some reason that Has Eluded Detection?

The Best way to approach such a Subject is with an understanding of;

-  Motivations that Drive People to Act in a Certain Way.

-  The Ability of the Average Voter to Understand what is actually

at Stake when they Support a Particular Issue, if it is Legislated into Law.

-  The Degree of Success a Politician or Political Party has in masking The

Real Reasons for the Stands they take on the Issues.

-  What you consider an Elected Official to be, and what their function is

while in Office.  In other Words, what is considered Important and Most Vital,

apart from anything else.

These are Questions that must be answered, for it Forces The Electorate to 

take a Hard Look at Their own Personal Biases.

DONALD TRUMPS SOTUS- COMMENTS BEFORE AND AFTER. #7.

Let us be clear about the state of our union under Donald Trump and the Republican majority in Congress. Here are just some of the "accomplishments" of the Trump administration and his Republican enablers: Shamelessly tried to take away health care from millions of Americans. Stripped protections from hundreds of thousands of DACA-recipients so Leader McConnell could use them as a sick "bargaining chip" in federal budget negotiations. Filled our federal courts with extreme and woefully unqualified judges. Made his inane climate change denial federal "policy" and ceded more of our federal lands and coastline to big oil companies. Re-upped conservative attacks on women's healthcare and LGBTQ communities. Forced through a massive tax cut to enrich his own family and his billionaire donors at the expense of middle-class and working families. Continually threatened our national security through rash tweets and interactions with foreign leaders -- while also obstructing the investigation into Russia's interference in our 2016 federal election. Further compromised our American civil liberties by reauthorizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Defended the white supremacists who marched and violently attacked counter-protesters in Charlottesville. Took a wrecking ball to our free and open internet by rolling back net neutrality protections. Abandoned the American citizens in Puerto Rico after Hurricanes Irma and Maria decimated the island. Instituted an unconstitutional and racist travel ban targeting majority-Muslim countries. I am concerned about the state of our union. We cannot allow Trump to continue to erode the moral fabric of our nation. We must fight back against Trump's assault on our communities and our values. And the only way to stop the president's extreme agenda is by electing a Democratic majority in the Senate.

Dear SEARCHINGFORREASON.NET, February 1st marks the beginning of Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. This year, the month carries a special significance as women and people of all gender identities across the country are coming forward to share their experiences with sexual harassment, assault, and relationship violence. Here in Massachusetts, we know how prevalent these issues are – especially among young people: in 2015, 9 percent of Massachusetts high schoolers reported being physically hurt by someone they were dating.  Tell your state representative to prioritize consent education and pass the Healthy Youth Act. We must protect our teens.  President Trump's cold dismissal of the #MeToo movement makes it imperative that we take action here in Massachusetts. The Healthy Youth Act would require lessons about consent, healthy relationships, and how to recognize the signs of dating violence in public schools that choose to teach sex education.  Contact your state representative today and tell them we can't ignore teen dating violence in Massachusetts.  We have the power to make headway in preventing teen dating violence and sexual assault. On the first day of Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, let's take meaningful action to put the health and safety of our teens first.  Thank you for joining me in this fight.
