The shooting at former President Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. SANDY HOOK PROMISE. (Also a note from the Publisher of this site.)

David,

Yesterday, one person was killed and two others were critically injured in a shocking attack at a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, which authorities are investigating as an assassination attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump.

This horrifying and senseless act of political violence goes against everything we stand for as a nation. It also affirms the reality that gun violence is a public health epidemic that affects us all. Regardless of background or political affiliation, these tragedies continue to wreak havoc and create trauma for families across the country.

No one should ever live in fear of being shot. Our elected officials, our communities and our children all deserve to be safe.

That’s why, now more than ever, we must come together as a nation to support bipartisan policy solutions that can save lives. We must unite to finally end this gun violence epidemic and the continued divisive acts that fuel it.

At Sandy Hook Promise, we will continue doing everything we possibly can to work toward bipartisan, comprehensive solutions that will build a brighter future for our country and our children – one where every American is free from the threat of gun violence and the trauma it creates.

Thank you for being by our side in this work.

Nicole Hockley (Dylan’s mom) and Mark Barden (Daniel’s father)

We must also emphasize one other important part of the problem:

STOP ELECTING OR PROMOTING POLITICIANS WHO USE HATE SPEECH, THREATS OF VIOLENCE, AND OTHER FORMS OF COERCION THAT APPEAL TO THE RADICAL MINORITY THAT WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET THEIR AGENDA PASSED. FOR YEARS I HAVE PUBLISHED ARTICLES AND POSTS THAT OFFER QUOTES FROM POLITICIANS THAT MIRROR THE ATTITUDES OF FASCIST GOVERNMENTS FROM RECENT HISTORY THAT USED THIS TYPE OF RHETORIC TO GAIN AND RETAIN POWER. IT IS INEXCUSABLE THAT SUCH BEHAVIOR IS EITHER IGNORED,  DOWNPLAYED AS BEING BASICALLY HARMLESS, OR LEGITIMIZED AS NECESSARY TO WIN AN ELECTION.

BLAST FROM THE PAST: RECIPE FOR A FASCIST PRESIDENCY: HATE, IGNORANCE, DECEIT, AND A BOGUS ELECTION.

Donald Trump, Liar, Protest, President

How many Times have you seen or heard a Politician reiterate support for a Particular Side of an Issue, but later shift, alter, or completely change the reason for continuing that support? Do we find that such a change causes an immediate uproar among the Politicians Supporters, who shift Their Allegiance Elsewhere?

To a Minor Degree that does occur, but on the whole, the vast majority remain loyal to the Candidate, just switching one explanation for another.

This seems to indicate a Certain Mindset that most POLITICIANS, VOTERS, AND THE NEWS MEDIA REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE DUE TO THE SHORT AND LONG TERM IMPLICATIONS:

THAT MANY AMERICANS ARE LOOKING FOR AN "EXCUSE" TO JUSTIFY THE OPINIONS THEY HAVE ON CERTAIN ISSUES.  IN OTHER WORDS, THE CONCLUSIONS BEING MADE ON PARTICULAR ISSUES ARE NOT THE RESULT OF INTELLECTUAL REFLECTION, LOOKING AT ALL SIDES OF AN ISSUE WITH AN OPEN MIND, BUT WITH PREDETERMINED CONCLUSIONS BASED ON IRRATIONAL ARGUMENTS, WHICH ARE BUILT UPON UNWARRANTED, FALSE, AND MISLEADING PREMISES AND DATA.
THIS IS THE REASONING THAT GIVES US POLITICIANS LIKE DONALD TRUMP, AND IS ONE OF THE TWO MAIN REASONS THAT HE NOW OCCUPIES THE WHITE HOUSE;

1) THE RIGGING/ALTERING OF FINAL VOTE TOTALS IN CERTAIN STATES TO GIVE HIM AN ELECTORAL COLLEGE VICTORY.

2) GIVING EVERY HATE GROUP ALTERNATIVE EXPLANATIONS TO JUSTIFY THEIR VIEWPOINTS. THESE WERE USED WHEN INTERACTING WITH THE MEDIA, OR ANSWERING QUESTIONS POSED BY POLITICAL OPPONENTS.

AS WE HAVE SEEN IN THE PAST, THESE "EXPLANATIONS" WORK IF YOUR OPPONENTS, OR THOSE WHO COVER AND REPORT THE NEWS, LACK THE COURAGE, DISCIPLINE, OR WHEREWITHAL TO CHALLENGE THE OFTEN BOGUS, FALSE, OR INACCURATE CONCLUSIONS BEING MADE TO PROMOTE AN AGENDA OF HATE...

...AND IT SHOULD BE DONE BEFORE AN ELECTION, NOT AFTER...

JUST A SHORT NOTE...

Output on this site decreased this past week or so due to a previous Medical Condition that had to be addressed. I would like to thank the Staff at CHARLTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL in FALL RIVER, MA. for their Highly Competent, Very Attentive, and Caring Treatment I received while an Admitted Patient. As I have related in past short notes, the Direct Care Staff of Doctors and Nurses are among the best anywhere, with a support staff that can't be beat.

THANKS CHARLTON,

DAVID.

Democratic Senator Counters Biden Concerns With Blunt Take On 'Incoherent' Trump. HUFFPOST.

 STORY BY BEN BLANCHET.

Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) questioned why no one’s “asking about” former President Donald Trump’s outlandish statements as the Democratic party deals with talk surrounding President Joe Biden and whether he serve as nominee.

Coons told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Wednesday that people shouldn’t set the “stakes too high” over Biden’s upcoming press conference and remarked on the president’s recent public appearances before pointing to his Republican opponent.

“Donald Trump may have given many more press conferences. But look at what he did. On that debate stage, just two weeks ago, he unleashed a torrent of lies and invectives,” said Coons, who noted that CNN found Trump making more than 30 false claims.

“But bluntly, in a lot of those press conferences, and in a lot of his campaign rallies now, he is saying bizarre and incoherent things.”

Coons proceeded to cite a recent conversation with an unnamed head of state in Europe.

″[They] said how is it possible that former President Trump is rambling on about electrocution by sharks and exploding pine trees and — you know this. At rallies and public events. And no one’s asking about it. And people seem only concerned about the current president,” Coons said.

He continued, “We’ve got two candidates. When Donald Trump was President, we had four bad years. Joe Biden had one bad debate night. But he’s had three-and-a-half great years of accomplishing good things for our country.”

Coons later took to social media to reiterate his message of support along with the phrase, “Don’t count Joe out.”

BTW, the count stands at 13 members of the U.S. HOUSE, out of 213 DEM. members, saying the President Biden should drop out. I'm sure the FASCIST PARTY OF AMERICA/GOP appreciates their support.- David McDonald, Publisher.
