BLAST FROM THE PAST: HUMILIATION TELEVISION; REALITY TV AND "JUSTICE FOR ALL."

 

 When you are watching Reality Television that is filmed in a courtroom setting, remember one thing;  In no way, shape or form is this a legitimate and true to life depiction of civil proceedings that are part of the U.S. Legal System.

To begin with, the presiding individual has no legal authority, they are playing the role of judge.

( Yes, they may have been a legitimate court official in the past, but not in this setting.)  Many times their manner, vocabulary and rulings are so outrageous, that if it had been done while sitting on the bench, it could have been grounds for censure or removal from office.  Their tough love search for truth is a sham, that often borders on the ludicrous.  Dialogue that includes name calling, ridicule and personal insults puts this make believe setting on the same intellectual level as a grade school playground. 

Oh, by the way, the Bailiffs are also fake.  No real authority, just window dressing. (Although, in the past, they may have held such a position in an official capacity.)

The cases are researched by staffers, and include suggestions sent in by viewers who may be involved in an actual civil case currently pending.

Here are a few more things that differentiate Reality Court T.V., from an actual court of law;

-  The Plaintiff and Defendant must sign an ARBITRATION AGREEMENT. This binds them both to accept the judgment, and to not litigate it further. ( Except in the rare case where it is DISMISSED WITHOUT PREJUDICE.)   

-  Both sides are usually paid an appearance fee.  In addition,  travel expenses are paid, and a daily stipend may be given to both sides.

-  Any judgments are paid from a fund set up by the producers, not from either party involved in the lawsuit. 

-  There have been accusations of contrived and scripted cases, that were either partially or totally made up fiction.  Care to guess what would happen if this was attempted in a true court of law, where both sides are trying to DEFRAUD THE COURT?  In the U.S. it is called a FELONY.

In the end, Reality Courtroom Television is just another example of  mind numbing and tasteless programming, from a genre that constantly looks for new ideas to pollute the airways.  All in the name of entertainment.

JUNTA OR RULING COUNCIL- POWER RESTS WITH A FEW, HALF-DOZEN OR SO.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CIVIL RIGHTS. LAW ENFORCEMENT AT ALL LEVELS IS CONTROLLED BY ONE SOURCE.

THE MILITARY PLEDGES ALLEGIANCE TO THE RULER(S).

RELIGIOUS FREEDOM IS ALLOWED ONLY AS FAR AS PERMITTED, DEPENDING ON HOW IT SERVES THE PURPOSE OF THE RULING GOVERNMENT.

COURTS ARE ADMINISTERED BY SELECTED JUDICIAL FLUNKIES, WHO KNOW THAT THEIR DECISIONS MUST BE AGREEABLE TO THE FASCIST LEADERSHIP, OR THEY ARE OUT.

THERE CAN BE ELECTIONS, WHERE ALL CANDIDATES ARE CAREFULLY SELECTED BY THE DESPOTS IN POWER. THERE IS NO PARTY SYSTEM ALLOWED. NO REAL OPPOSITION.

EVEN IF SOME FORM OF ELECTION(S) IS ALLOWED, THE RESULTS MUST BE AGREEABLE TO THE POWERS THAT BE, OR THEY ARE VOIDED. 

THE NEWS MEDIA IS NOTHING MORE THAN A SYSTEM OF PAID PROPAGANDISTS, NO OPPOSITION IS PERMITTED.

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL- THE LEADERSHIP IS ACCOUNTABLE TO NO ONE. SINCE THEY ARE THE SOURCE OF ALL LAW, THEY CAN NOT AND WILL NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANY ACTIONS THEY UNDERTAKE. 

MAGATS AND TRUMPIANS- ONE IN THE SAME. INDIVIDUALS WHO PLACE THEIR LOYALTY TO DONALD TRUMP ABOVE ALL OTHER POLITICAL, LEGAL, AND SOCIAL OBLIGATIONS.

BY DEFINITION: THEY MAY SAY THEY ARE AMERICANS, BUT THAT DEFINITION IS DEFINED BY DONALD TRUMP, NOT THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.

DONALD TRUMP IS THE FINAL JUDGE ON ALL THINGS- CRIMINAL ACTS, ELECTION LAW, THE COURT SYSTEM, ALL FORMS OF THE MEDIA. etc.

IN FACT, GIVE ANY EXAMPLE OF A BEHAVIOR THAT HE HAS ENGAGED IN, THAT YOU CONSIDER TO HAVE BEEN DISAPPROVED OF BY A MEASURABLE % OF MAGATS OR TRUMPIANS. (NOT EVEN A MAJORITY, BUT A LARGE ENOUGH GROUP THAT COULD BE IDENTIFIED AND RELIED UPON TO MAINTAIN THAT OPINION)

TERRORISM-  THE USE OF VIOLENCE, OR THREAT OF SUCH, TO ADVANCE THE DOCTRINE, IDEOLOGY, RULES, OR GOALS OF A GIVEN AND IDENTIFIABLE GROUP THAT IS NOT GENERALLY REGARDED AS A LEGITIMATE POLITICAL ENTITY, OR THE RECOGNIZED LEGAL AUTHORITY FOR A RESIDENT POPULATION OR GEOGRAPHICAL AREA.

NO, I DO NOT CONSIDER MAGATS OR TRUMPIANS A LEGITIMATE POLITICAL GROUP. THEIR ACTIONS AND GOALS PLACE THEM AS ADHERENTS TO A WANNABE ALL-POWERFUL DICTATOR- DONALD TRUMP.

BLAST FROM THE PAST- WHAT PROGRESSIVES MUST LEARN: STAND TOGETHER, OR FALL APART. (UPDATED)

 

There is one thing, probably more than anything else, that has held Back Progressives from Achieving Electoral Success regularly. Care to Guess what it is?  It is an Internal, Self- Inflicted Mindset that Conservatives, especially Far-Right Hate Groups and the Fascist Majority that runs the GOP, have exploited come Election Time.

IT IS THE FAILURE OF PROGRESSIVES AND LIBERALS TO STAND TOGETHER.  TO OFTEN, GROUPS THAT PROCLAIM THEMSELVES AS PROGRESSIVE, EXIST AS ONE OR TWO ISSUE GROUPS.  THE REASONING THAT LED TO CREATING AND ORGANIZING OTHER LIKE- MINDED INDIVIDUALS TO PASS LEGISLATION AND ELECT SYMPATHETIC CANDIDATES, IS NOT CARRIED OVER INTO OTHER AREAS.

It is Astonishing to Listen to a "PROGRESSIVE VOTER", Who sees an Injustice and Wants to Affect a Change in the Law to Remedy this Iniquity, Refusing to use the Same Thought Process if it Deals with an Issue That Doesn't Appeal to Them Directly.

Unfortunately, this Lack of a Consistent Line of Moral Guidelines that are NOT UNIVERSAL IN NATURE, SETS PROGRESSIVES AGAINST ONE ANOTHER, AND BREEDS RESENTMENT THAT LEADS TO ELECTORAL FAILURE.

I have heard the Argument that concludes with the-  "...their not all the same. Social , Economic, and Other Domestic Agenda Issues Deal with Different Problems, and Need Different Solutions."

That may be, but it Doesn't Explain or Solve the UNDERLYING PROBLEM THEY ALL HAVE IN COMMON; INEQUALITY UNDER THE LAW, WHETHER IT IS...

-  UNFAIR LABOR OR WAGE PRACTICES.

- TAX LAWS THAT BENEFIT THE WEALTHY

AT THE EXPENSE OF THE MIDDLE CLASS.

-  ELIGIBILITY AND AVAILABILITY FOR 

GOVERNMENT FUNDS TO ADDRESS HARDSHIP,

IN ALL ITS FORMS.

-  FAILURE TO GIVE ALL COMPETENT

ADULTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER

INTO A LEGAL MARRIAGE CONTRACT.

-  ENSURING EQUAL TREATMENT IN A COURT OF 

LAW, WHERE THE SIZE OF YOUR WALLET DOESN'T 

= THE AMOUNT OF JUSTICE YOU'LL RECEIVE.

- IGNORING THE ATTEMPTS BY A CORRUPT/INCOMPETENT

JUDICIARY ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL FAITH-BASED MORALITY

INTO PUBLIC POLICY, DESTROYING THE CONSTITUTIONAL 

FOUNDATION THAT CREATED THE U.S. LEGAL SYSTEM.

WHO IS THE WINNER WHEN THIS HAPPENS?  

Why don't we ask the Citizens of RUSSIA, IRAN, CHINA

AND OTHER REPRESSIVE REGIMES.
