BLAST FROM THE PAST. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMAS IMMIGRATION SPEECH: WHAT DOES HE ACTUALLY SAY? PT 2.

 

(PLEASE REMEMBER THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS, AND THOSE SEEKING REFUGEE STATUS. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, IT'S TWO DIFFERENT ISSUES.)

Lets continue with the analysis of the Presidents speech.

"...and undocumented immigrants who desperately want to embrace those responsibilities see little option but to remain in the shadows, or risk their families being torn apart."

This is a Moral Judgment on the choices given to Undocumented Immigrants. That if they reveal Themselves, it would result in their being forced out of the Country. This could mean Physical Separation from their Minor Children.  The President is implying that if there was an alternative solution, that keeps families together, it would be welcomed by those who want to stay in the U.S.,
and live up to all the responsibilities of residing in this Country.

Moving on:  "It's been this way for decades.  And for decades we haven't done much about it.  When I took office, I committed to fixing this broken immigration system, And I began by doing what I could to secure our borders."

The President has acknowledged the problem, but reminds us that he didn't create it.  He is also accusing former administrations of doing little to address the Issue.  However, he committed to solving the problem while in office, and reaffirms it.  

"Today we have more agents and technology deployed to secure our southern border than at any time in our history. And over the past six years illegal border crossings have been cut by more than half."

Well, if you ever had any doubt that the GOP is becoming nothing more than a collection of Fascist Bottom Feeders, this should convince you that such a conclusion is inevitable.

DESANTIS AND ABBOTT, both attempting to win the NEO-NAZI 6TH PLAYER AWARD PROVED, ONCE AGAIN, THAT DONALD TRUMP IS FAR FROM THE ONLY HITLER/STALIN WANNABE ATTEMPTING TO DESTROY THE U.S.

HOW? BY TREATING HUMAN BEINGS AS POLITICAL "CATTLE", ROUNDING UP REFUGEES, LYING TO THEM, AND THEN SHIPPING THEM OFF TO AN UNKNOWN DESTINATION. 

Instead of asking for assistance, for a problem that their own party refuses to address even when DEMOCRATS AND PROGRESSIVES create programs that will alleviate much of the problem, they make the assumption that the leadership in "SANCTUARY" CITIES AND STATES ARE JUST AS LOW A FORM OF LIFE AS THEY ARE. WRONG.

(By the way Teddy Cruz, MA. GOVERNOR CHARLIE BAKER IS A REPUBLICAN. I can understand how you failed to notice, he is one of the very few REPUBLICANS who actually seem to care about their Constituents. You know, Like not deserting the State during a crisis. By the way, what is your vacation of choice this year, in case inclimate weather causes your cable to go out.)

Governor Baker responded to this disgusting form of Political Posturing by the following;

By the way, that included activating elements of the NATIONAL GUARD, not to round them up at gun point, but for Humanitarian Assistance in relocating them to CAPE COD, WHERE THE STATE CAN BEST SERVE THE NEEDS OF...WELL HERE IS HOW THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION DESCRIBES THOSE YOU CAST OUT LIKE GARBAGE:

"These were children. They were moms. They were fleeing communism. And what did Governor DeSantis and Governor Abbott do to them? They used them as political pawns, treated them like chattel," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said at a press briefing on Friday.

Another proud moment...you are so far down the Rabbit Hole that I wonder if SOCIOPATHY is now a pre-requisite for attaining Ultimate Control of the GOP.

IMMIGRATION IS NOT A TERM WHERE ONE DEFINITION APPLIES TO ALL.

To provide some additional information on my SERIES OF ARTICLES REGARDING THEN PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMAS PROGRAM TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, the following reprinted article emphasizes specific terminology that focuses on the reality of the controversy.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION-   IS IT THE RALLYING CRY OF THE 

CLOSET BIGOT?  PT 1.

As we in the U.S. head into another election cycle, meaningful debate is again giving way to finding issues that prey on the emotional psyche of the average voter. Candidates are looking to polarize certain voting blocks, by offering personal opinions on certain controversial Topics.

Often, this is not done by Intellectual Reflection,  but with the intent to appeal to the Baser nature of Humanity.  This is best exemplified in the reasoning given by some Politicians running for office, in how they arrived at the positions taken on specific issues.  

For Example;

IMMIGRATION-  At the time of this writing, Immigration Law seems to be the most

important issue for the average voter, in how it is interpreted and enforced.

Unfortunately, there is a profound misunderstanding about what the term IMMIGRANT ACTUALLY MEANS, AND HOW IT IS OFTEN MISUSED BY INDIVIDUALS WITH A SPECIFIC POLITICAL AGENDA.

To clarify, here are definitions for certain words, that will help us find the truth.

( These are my definitions. However, I encourage my readers to Research other 

possible meanings for these terms.)

Immigration-  Is simply the act of changing ones Home or Residence, from one place to another.  For the purpose of this article, it will refer to Citizens or Nationals of one Country, seeking to move inside the borders or areas controlled by another Nation.  This can be either a Permanent or Temporary arrangement.

Refugee Status-  The desire of Individuals to seek sanctuary within the borders of another Nation, to avoid extreme hardship occurring in their Home Country.  This can include Acts of Violence, Famine or Environmental Disasters.  Humanitarian Aid is usually offered to the Refugee by the Nation granting them safe haven, to alleviate hardships already suffered.

Immigrant and Refugee are not one and the same.  An Immigrant desires to remain

as a Resident for a given period of time, or permanently.  A Refugee is given sanctuary only as long as the situation within their Homeland merits it.  They are expected to return once the situation has been stabilized.  Refugees may apply for Immigrant Status, but it is not granted automatically.

Lets try a Novel Approach. Ignoring what the Political Pundits on Television and the Radio Have to say, and actually READ THE TRANSCRIPT FROM PRESIDENT OBAMAS IMMIGRATION SPEECH.

Lets get started.

He opens by praising the Two- Hundred Year+ History of the U.S. welcoming Immigrants from around the World, and the Advantages it has given the Country over other Nations.

However, he goes on to say:

"...Today, our immigration system is broken, and everybody knows it.  Families who enter our country the right way and play by the rules watch others flout the rules.  Business owners who offer their workers good wages and benefits see the competition exploit undocumented immigrants by paying them less."

From this passage we can take the following;

-  The President is acknowledging the State of the Immigration System, AND THE NEED FOR IT TO BE FIXED.

-  That the way the system is currently operated victimizes;  Legal Immigrants who follow the Law, and Honest Business Owners who offer good wages and benefits, who see competitors using undocumented workers to save money.

The President goes on to say;

 "All of us take offense to anyone who reaps the rewards of living in America without taking on the responsibilities of living in America."

-  In other words, the Advantages and Responsibilities go hand and hand.  With one comes the other.
