David —
Today is Inauguration Day and we are ready and excited for what the future will hold under this new administration.
Mark is someone who believes in science, data and facts. He doesn't believe in partisanship, and he knows that the problems that we're facing as a country are really hard to solve and the only way we're going to solve them is by working together.
That’s why today is such a big moment in our country's history. This is our opportunity to move forward and come together — Democrat and Republican — to solve some of our most challenging issues.
Today is an historic day for our country, one we should all stop to appreciate and let sink in. All of the hard work and effort we put in is finally paying off and today is the day we get to take it all in.
But we also have to get right to work, because there’s a lot to do and the American people are waiting for us to resolve our differences and work together to find solutions to issues like climate change, providing COVID-19 relief, and rebuilding the economy.
We are so thankful to have you with us, and we’re so excited for what comes next.
All our best,
Team Kelly
David,
On this historic day, we are filled with hope for America and for every single American. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have just taken the oath of office, marking the end of a tumultuous four years of Donald Trump.
Today is a new day in America -- and it should be a day of unity. But David, let's be real. America is not unified right now.
Americans are more divided than ever because of the scourge of Trumpism, white supremacy, and right-wing extremism. For four years, the Republican Party capitulated to the blatantly racist and hateful rhetoric of the Trump administration. For four years, the Republican Party failed to find the courage to challenge the daily lies and conspiracy theories spouted by Trump and his ilk.
In order to move on as a country, we need to hold accountable those that aided Trump's assault on our Democracy, including Texas Republicans like Ted Cruz, Greg Abbott, Dan Patrick and Ken Paxton. They spent four years undermining our Democracy and our most sacred American values. We cannot forget or forgive; we have to defeat them at the polls.
The new administration must work to confront the pressing issues facing the country -- from coronavirus and the economy to health care reform, climate change, and gun control. But let's be clear -- we can't truly move forward until we rid the stain of Trumpism from our politics and our country.
Let's celebrate this hopeful and historic day and then continue fighting for a better Texas and a better America.
Thanks,
Boot Texas Republicans
