THE FOLLOWING ARE MY DEFINITIONS, BUT I THINK THEY ARE REASONABLY CLOSE TO WHAT WOULD BE FOUND IN BOTH CIVIL OR CRIMINAL LAW.

A PUBLIC SERVANT OR ELECTED OFFICIAL HAS A DUTY TO WORK ON BEHALF OF THOSE WHO ARE AFFECTED BY THE ACTIONS AND DECISIONS THAT ARE PART OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES THAT ARE DEFINED BY THE POSITION OCCUPIED BY THE INDIVIDUAL. 

TO USE SUCH A POSITION TO ENRICH YOURSELF, AND/OR A SELECTED GROUP, BY MAKING DECISIONS THAT WOULD NEGATIVELY AFFECT THOSE WHO ARE PART OF THE POPULATION THAT FALLS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVANT OR ELECTED OFFICIALS DIRECT INFLUENCE, SET BY LAW, IS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

SIMPLY PUT: PUTTING SELF-INTEREST ABOVE THE PUBLIC INTEREST.


WITH THAT BEING SAID, HOW IS DONALD TRUMP STILL ALLOWED TO ENDORSE PRIVATE INSURANCE PRODUCTS? EVEN WORSE, HE USES THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT TO DO SO. 

TO HAVE HIM USE HIS OFFICE TO END THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT, WHICH BENEFITS MILLIONS OF AMERICANS, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME ENDORSING PRIVATE INSURANCE PRODUCTS, IS AN OBSCENITY.

MY GOD, DOES HE JUST DO WHAT HE WANTS, WITH NO ONE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, OR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, WILLING TO STAND UP AND SAY: "NO MORE,YOU CAN'T DO THIS." 

(SORRY, BUT I DO NOT EXPECT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY TO OBJECT TO ANYTHING HE DOES. THAT WOULD TAKE INTEGRITY AND HONOR, TWO TRAITS THEY NO LONGER POSSESS.)

IT IS A PRACTICE THAT RELIES ON THE GULLIBILITY, AND TRUST, OF SOME CONSUMERS WHO BELIEVE IN THE "INHERENT" TRUSTWORTHINESS OF THE NEWS MEDIA.

There are people who know how to make money very easily, and they've rigged the system for themselves without sharing their secrets with people who really need it."

"I'm going to change all that" Mr. Trump added...

However, it gives us a glimpse into the future, by revealing the following: IF SENATE DEMOCRATS WOULD NOT OPPOSE THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL BEHAVIOR OF MITCH MCCONNELL, WHO REFUSED TO ALLOW BARACK OBAMAS SUPREME COURT NOMINEE MERRICK GARLAND A CHANCE TO TESTIFY BEFORE  U.S. SENATE AND RECEIVE A PUBLIC VOTE ON HIS NOMINATION, HOW COULD YOU RELY ON THEM TO PROPERLY EXECUTE ANY PART OF THEIR DUTIES WHILE IN OFFICE

EXPLANATION:

HIS BEHAVIOR IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE OPPOSITION BEING SO INDECISIVE OR TIMID, THAT HE AND TOP LEVEL REPUBLICANS HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE DESIRE TO AVOID CONFRONTATION, OR RISK OFFENDING ANYONE THAT MIGHT DISAGREE WITH THEIR OPINION, LIMITS THE INFLUENCE THAT THEY HAVE INFORMING PUBLIC POLICY.

TODAYS DONALD TRUMP IS WHAT HE WAS ALLOWED TO BECOME...    

I WOULD LIKE TO ALTER THIS CONCLUSION, DUE TO RECENT EVENTS AND PAST BEHAVIOR. THE ABOVE PHRASE IS STILL ACCURATE, AND INDECISIVE AND TIMID BEHAVIOR BY THE OPPOSITION STILL HOLDS TRUE TO A CERTAIN DEGREE, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THE FOLLOWING:

THAT THE U.S. SENATE, BOTH REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRAT, HAVE CREATED A SYSTEM THAT ALLOWS DONALD TRUMP TO MAKE DECISIONS AND CREATE POLICIES WITHOUT ANY REAL FEAR OF SHORT TERM CONSEQUENCES TO HIM, OR MEMBERS OF HIS ADMINISTRATION. 

TIME AND TIME AGAIN, FROM THE ONSET OF HIS CANDIDACY, SOME OF DONALD TRUMPS MOST EGREGIOUS BEHAVIOR HAS EITHER BEEN DOWNPLAYED, OR IGNORED ENTIRELY. GIVEN THE REPUBLICAN PARTIES DECISION TO EMBRACE RACISM, RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE, HOMOPHOBIA, ANTI-SCIENCE LEGISLATION, AND XENOPHOBIA, HIS BEHAVIOR IS HARDLY SHOCKING. IT IS THE DEMOCRATS RESPONSE,(MAINLY THE U.S. SENATE), THAT MAKES LITTLE SENSE, IF THE DESIRE IS TO PROTECT AMERICAN CITIZENS FROM THE FASCIST AGENDA TRUMP PUSHES AT EVERY TURN.
