THE TRANSCRIPT OF FBI DIRECTOR CHRISTOPHER WRAY ON 10/21/2020, REGARDING ELECTION SECURITY.

FBI Director Christopher Wray delivered the following remarks during a press conference on election security at FBI Headquarters with Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe. (Remarks as delivered)

The FBI is the primary agency responsible for investigating malicious cyber activity against election infrastructure, malign foreign influence operations, and election-related crimes, like voter fraud and voter suppression or intimidation.

And that’s exactly what we’ve been doing.

At the FBI, we’re working closely with our intelligence community partners, as well as our other federal, state, and local partners, to share information, bolster security, and identify and disrupt any threats.

We’re not going to tolerate foreign interference in our elections or any criminal activity that threatens the sanctity of your vote or undermines public confidence in the outcome of the election.

When we see indications of foreign interference or federal election crimes, we’re going to aggressively investigate and work with our partners, to quickly take appropriate action.

We’re also coordinating with the private sector—both technology and social media companies—to make sure that their platforms are not used by foreign adversaries to spread disinformation and propaganda.

We’ve been working for years as a community to build resilience in our election infrastructure—and today that infrastructure remains resilient.

You should be confident that your vote counts.

Early, unverified claims to the contrary should be viewed with a healthy dose of skepticism.

We encourage everyone to seek election and voting information from reliable sources—namely, your state election officials. And to be thoughtful, careful, and discerning consumers of information online.

And if you suspect criminal activity, we ask that you report that information to your local FBI field office.

As always, the men and women of the FBI remain committed to protecting the American people, our democracy, and the integrity of our elections.

We are not going to let our guard down.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

AS YOU CAN SEE, FBI DIRECTOR WRAY DOES NOT REFERENCE DONALD TRUMP IN ANY WAY. WHY? BECAUSE HE IS NOT A TRUMP LACKEY LIKE JOHN RATCLIFFE, WHO ASSERTED THAT THE BOGUS AND SPOOF E-MAILS BEING SENT TO VOTERS WERE AN ATTEMPT TO HURT DONALD TRUMP.

HIS REASONING FOR SUCH A CONCLUSION: HE DOESN'T OFFER ANY.

THIS IS A BLATANT ATTEMPT TO TURN THE SITUATION INTO A "HEROIC" MOMENT FOR DONALD. IT IS A LAUGHABLE PLOY TO CONVINCE VOTERS THAT TRUMP IS A DECENT AND COMPETENT LEADER WHO CARES ABOUT HONEST ELECTIONS.

HILARIOUS.

TIMELY: Use this guide to vote prochoice. BOB FERTIK, DEMOCRATS.COM

DAVID,

While anti-choice extremists like Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump work to overturn Roe v Wade, thousands of candidates across the country have pledged to fight back and save reproductive freedom!

From the White House to the County Court House and everything in between, we need prochoice leaders standing up for the right to choose.

Take two minutes and check out the prochoice candidates on your ballot!

The best way to stop a conservative Supreme Court from overturning Roe v Wade is to elect prochoice candidates who will block anti-choice laws in our communities.

Our prochoice guide also features recommendations from 160+ other progressive organizations all in one place!

Before you cast your vote, be sure to review the recommendations in our guide.

Thanks for all you do!

Bob Fertik

PROGRESSIVES AND LIBERALS: STAND TOGETHER, OR FALL APART.

There is one thing, probably more than anything else, that has held Back Progressives from Achieving Electoral Success on a Regular Basis. Care to Guess?  It is an Internal, Self- Inflicted Mindset that Conservatives, especially Tea Party Candidates, have used on a regular basis.

IT IS THE FAILURE OF PROGRESSIVES AND LIBERALS TO STAND TOGETHER.  TO OFTEN, GROUPS THAT PROCLAIM THEMSELVES AS PROGRESSIVE, EXIST AS ONE OR TWO ISSUE GROUPS.  THE REASONING THAT LED TO CREATING AND ORGANIZING OTHER LIKE- MINDED INDIVIDUALS TO PASS LEGISLATION AND ELECT SYMPATHETIC CANDIDATES, IS NOT CARRIED OVER INTO OTHER AREAS.

It is Astonishing to Listen to a "PROGRESSIVE VOTER", Who sees an Injustice and Wants to Affect a Change in the Law to Remedy this Iniquity, Refusing to use the Same Thought Process if it Deals with an Issue That Doesn't Appeal to Them Directly.

Unfortunately, this Lack of a Consistent Line of Moral Guidelines that are NOT UNIVERSAL IN NATURE, SETS PROGRESSIVES AGAINST ONE ANOTHER, AND BREEDS RESENTMENT THAT LEADS TO ELECTORAL FAILURE.

I have heard the Argument that concludes with the-  "...their not all the same. Social , Economic, and Other Domestic Agenda Issues Deal with Different Problems, and Need Different Solutions."

That may be, but it Doesn't Explain or Solve the UNDERLYING PROBLEM THEY ALL HAVE IN COMMON; INEQUALITY UNDER THE LAW, WHETHER IT IS...

-  UNFAIR LABOR OR WAGE PRACTICES.

-  ELIGIBILITY AND AVAILABILITY FOR
GOVERNMENT FUNDS TO ADDRESS HARDSHIP,
IN ALL ITS FORMS.

-   FAIR TREATMENT GIVEN TO ALL COMPETENT
ADULTS REGARDING MARRIAGE LAW.

-  ENSURING EQUAL TREATMENT IN A COURT OF
LAW, WHERE THE SIZE OF YOUR WALLET DOESN'T
= THE AMOUNT OF JUSTICE YOU'LL RECEIVE.

...MEANS THAT ONE PERSON IS GIVEN AN ADVANTAGE, HELPING HAND,
OR JUST AN OPEN DOOR, THAT SOMEONE ELSE IS NOT.

WHO IS THE WINNER WHEN THIS HAPPENS?
