AMERICAN PHILOSOPHICAL ASSOCIATION. Paper submissions are open for the 2020 APA Central Division meeting.

American
 Philosophical Association

Dear DAVID,

The Central Division of the American Philosophical Association invites submissions of papers for its 2021 meeting, to be held February 24–27 in New Orleans, LA.

Note: Currently, all three APA divisions are planning to hold in-person meetings in 2021. At the same time, we are also considering alternative formats, such as virtual meetings, as contingencies in the case that our usual meeting format becomes impossible. Though external forces like the ongoing pandemic affect and inform our plans, your participation is the most critical input for planning any meeting. If you are considering submitting a paper, we encourage you to do so.

Paper submissions are accepted through the APA website. Visit the Paper Submission Guidelines page for more information. All paper submissions must be received by June 1, 2020, and all authors must be current members of the American Philosophical Association. Join or renew online.

Papers are refereed in the summer and authors are informed in August whether their papers have been accepted. The full program will be published online in December 2020, and a printed version will be available at the meeting for those who request it when registering for the meeting.

If you are interested in commenting or chairing, you may submit your information online. Please bear in mind that there are usually many more who are interested in commenting or chairing than there are program slots to be filled and that the program committee also invites authors of papers that are not accepted to serve as commentators or chairs for other submitted papers. You can sign up to comment or chair even if you are also submitting a paper, but in order to preserve the anonymity of the reviewing process, please do not mention that you have submitted a paper. All session participants, including presenters, commentators, and chairs, must register for the meeting.

We thank all those who participated in this year's meeting in Chicago and look forward to another excellent conference next year in New Orleans.
Thank you,

Elyse Purcell
Secretary-Treasurer, APA Central Division

Democrats are surging in these eight battleground races.

McGrath or McConnell? Kelly or McSally? Bullock or Daines?
