AMERICAN PHILOSOPHICAL ASSOCIATION: JUST ONE WEEK LEFT TO NOMINATE QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR APA LEADERSHIP POSITIONS.

Dear DAVID,

There is only one week left to nominate qualified candidates for APA leadership positions. The deadline for nominations is next Thursday, October 31.

All nominations must be made through the online nominations system. Nominations submitted by email, phone, or postal mail will not be accepted.

There are member vacancies on seventeen APA committees, including a vacancy for the disability representative on the inclusiveness committee, as well as vacancies for associate chair positions on five committees. There will be one vacancy for member-at-large of the board of officers, and four member vacancies on the graduate student council (GSC). Most committee terms are three years in length; GSC terms are two years. Sign in to the nominations system for more information and a complete list of vacancies.

Both nominators and nominees must be current APA members. If you haven’t done so already, please be sure to renew your APA membership.

Service on the board of officers, an APA committee, or the graduate student council is a significant opportunity for leadership in the profession and the association. Don’t wait to nominate qualified candidates—including yourself!—for these important positions.

All the best,

Amy E. Ferrer
Executive Director

What is the worst part of TRUMPS AGENDA. DGA.

This requires your immediate attention, DAVID: Democrats are fighting back across the country against deep-pocketed Republicans and their allies. But with limited resources, we have to decide which battles to prioritize.
We need to know what top Democrats like you are most concerned about in order to effectively take on Trump and plan our strategy.
We’re still 34 responses short in 02771, and we need to know which issues matter most to you. Let us know:

THE OCTOBER DEBATE. TOM STEYER.

DAVID,

Tom shared his ideas on the national stage for the first time last week, and our team got a lot bigger! Debate night was such a special moment for the campaign, and we got so many great photos from watch parties across the country that we wanted to share them with you. Check out these highlights from the October debate and add your name to get involved in the next one.

Thank you to everyone who hosted or attended a party and shared in the excitement online — the support Tom has been seeing all across the country just keeps growing. We already can’t wait for November.

Cheers,
Tom 2020

P.S. Sign up to host a watch party for the debate in November — we’re less than a month away!
