THE MUELLER REPORT AND TESTIMONY, ARTICLES AND POSTS, START TO FINISH: QUESTIONS THAT MUST BE ANSWERED: ROBERT MUELLERS TESTIMONY BEFORE THE HOUSE OF REP. #1.

"WHAT WAS THE NATURE OF ANY FOREIGN INFLUENCE THAT
OCCURRED DURING THE 2016 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION,
UNCOVERED DURING YOUR INVESTIGATION?"

THE FOLLOWING IS TAKEN FROM THE TEXT OF THE REPORT.

"The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion..."

First, a Russian entity carried out a social media campaign that favored presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and disparaged presidential candidate Hillary Clinton...

Second, a Russian intelligence service conducted computer-intrusion operations against entities, employees, and volunteers working on the Clinton Campaign and then released stolen documents."

"ARE THE ABOVE QUOTES CONCLUSIONS THAT THE INVESTIGATION CAME TO, GIVEN THE EVIDENCE THAT WAS UNCOVERED DURING THE COURSE OF THE INVESTIGATION?"

YES/NO.

WISH MARK A HAPPY BIRTHDAY. LAURA HERRING.

Hi David -- it’s Laura!

I know I haven’t emailed in a while, but Mark’s birthday is tomorrow and I thought it would be fun to surprise him with a card signed by his friends and supporters.

I know how much Mark loves serving as Virginia’s Attorney General -- it’s an honor and a joy.  And with so much going on I know it would mean a great deal to him to hear from all of his supporters as he’s hard at work on behalf of the Commonwealth.

I hope you’ll join me, and many other Virginians, in wishing Mark a very happy birthday, and I can’t thank you enough for your support.

ESQUIRE. Donald Trump’s Ukraine Business Is the Beginning of the End.

This has to be the beginning of the end. The House Democrats, slower than molasses up until this point, suddenly have been transformed into quick drying cement around the president*'s ankles. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut now has come close to calling for an impeachment inquiry; she is a close friend and closer ally to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, so that's a signifying development, as is the op-ed signed by seven rookie Democratic congresscritters from toss-up congressional districts, all of whom, significantly, have experience in the national security apparatus, in which they call for investigations to intensify. The Ukraine business has shifted something in the political tectonics. The slippage has begun in earnest, on one side of the aisle, anyway. Read More

President Trump is trying to accelerate climate change. BOB FERGUSON.

Hi David,

Last week, I filed a lawsuit to stop the Trump administration from blocking states, including Washington, from setting stricter vehicle emissions standards than the federal government. I’m proud that Washington has been a leader in the fight against climate change -- and I won’t let President Trump take us backwards.

The administration’s latest anti-environment policy would allow auto manufacturers to follow weak federal standards that are not doing nearly enough to keep our air clean or our climate healthy. Puget Sound is already warming and rising, our wildfires are increasing in intensity, and the glaciers in North Cascades National Park have shrunk by more than 50 percent. This regulation will exacerbate all these and other impacts of the climate crisis.

I’m challenging this regulation along with 23 other attorneys general because we are committed to defending against climate change, even when the White House won’t.

This is our 49th lawsuit challenging the president and our 23rd environmental lawsuit. So far, we are undefeated. Our fight to protect the planet is going to take all of us, and I won’t allow powerful interests -- including our own federal government -- to stop us.

More updates coming soon.
