I won't be silent about this attack on transgender Americans. JENNIFER WEXTON.

David, Back in May, I called on Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson to resign -- and today I renew that call. First, he lied to me and to the American people during congressional testimony about his department’s commitment to protecting the rights of transgender Americans. As a former prosecutor, I take lies seriously. Now, he's made ignorant and bigoted comments about transgender women -- perpetuating nasty falsehoods about their identities. We need a HUD secretary who respects the dignity and safety of everyone, regardless of gender or sexuality. Please join me in demanding Ben Carson's resignation -- we're hoping to get 10,000 signatures to keep the pressure on. ADD YOUR NAME ➞ Carson's remarks -- effectively accusing transgender women of sexual assault -- are cruel, untrue, and dangerous. Transgender women are far more likely to be victims than perpetrators, and it's because of hateful words like this. Carson's comments reflect his dismissive attitude towards LGBTQ rights. He's rolled back the Obama-era “equal-access” rule that protected transgender Americans in HUD programs (including homeless shelters) from discrimination. Now, federally funded shelters can deny transgender people access. Carson is using disgusting language about transgender people to try to justify his discriminatory policies. Well, it seems that TWITTER has, again, recognized their mistake in locking my account, and has apologized. For the third time. Here is the email I received this morning:

who wish to visit. It is an outright lie. ALL IT DOES IS SCARE NEW VISITORS AWAY,

AND PLANT DOUBT IN EXISTING READERS.   IT IS THE TYPE OF BEHAVIOR

ANOTHER Obamacare repeal effort? JENNIFER WEXTON.

The Washington Post just reported that at the GOP's annual retreat, they made clear their plan to launch another effort to destroy the Affordable Care Act:

"Meeting for their annual legislative retreat here nearly nine months into the minority, top GOP officials couldn’t help but raise matters such as health care...

If Trump is reelected, the GOP recaptures the House and holds the Senate, the president and Republicans said they would try again to scrap the 2010 law that has provided coverage for tens of millions of Americans and ensured health care for those with preexisting medical conditions."

The GOP's path back to the majority runs through VA-10, so if we're going to protect the ACA, affordable health care, and coverage for pre-existing conditions -- we can't afford to lose Jennifer's seat...

This is our first public deadline since we got a top-tier GOP opponent. All eyes will be on our numbers, and we need to pass this critical test of our strength.
