GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN. VIRGINIA CONGRESSWOMAN JENNIFER WEXTON.

For 35 days, Donald Trump held our country hostage in the longest Government Shutdown in history -- all for a xenophobic border wall.

Now, Trump is threatening our country with another shutdown in just 10 days.

David, I need 1O,OOO Democrats to stand with me and demand a solution to permanently reopen the United States Government ➜
SIGN THE PETITION ➞
David, hundreds of thousands of Americans will never recover from Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell's petty power play.

I refused to take a paycheck while the government was shutdown and fought every day in Congress to reopen the government.

But we need to put even more pressure on Trump and McConnell to ensure they NEVER play politics with people’s paychecks again.

DAVID: SIGN THE PETITION ➞

Democrats need a permanent solution to not only to keep the Government open, but to REJECT Donald Trump’s wall altogether.

I’ve been fighting in Congress for the 8OO,OOO furloughed Americans who have been used as political leverage to pay for Trump’s disastrous wall.

David, these are just a few of the experiences Americans have had over the past few weeks:
-- Working 8O hours a week as an air traffic controller and receiving a paycheck for $0.00.
-- Being denied a mortgage because furloughed employees are considered unemployed by banks.
-- Pawning clothing and personal items to have enough money to pay for medications.
That’s why I need you to sign my petition -- to show Donald Trump the American people will not stand for a second Government Shutdown.
