JUDGE KAVANAUGH- LISTEN TO THE RESPONSE. UPDATE: A TRUMP MINION DEFENDS..
U.S. Sen. Susan Collins said the following, to explain her "REASONING" IN SUPPORTING JUDGE KAVANAUGH FOR THE SUPREME COURT:
"In evaluating any given claim of misconduct, we will be ill served in the long run if we abandon the presumption of innocence and fairness, tempting though it may be," she said. "We must always remember that it is when passions are most inflamed that fairness is most in jeopardy."
HOWEVER, JUDGE KAVANAUGH GETS A FREE PASS FROM THIS:
" Revenge on behalf of the Clintons and millions of dollars in money from outside left-wing opposition groups. This is a circus. The consequences will extend long past my nomination. The consequences will be with us for decades."
I GUESS HIS ACCUSERS ARE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD THAN HE IS.
THAT IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF REPUBLICAN HATE SPEECH BEING PROTECTED BY ONE OF DONALD TRUMPS MINIONS.
*********************************************************************************
THE FOLLOWING IS TAKEN FROM JUDGE KAVANAUGHS TESTIMONY BEFORE THE SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, REGARDING ACCUSATIONS MADE AGAINST HIM.
"This whole two-week effort has been a calculated and orchestrated political hit, fueled with apparent pent-up anger about president trump and the 2016 election, fear that has been unfairly stoked about my judicial record. Revenge on behalf of the Clintons and millions of dollars in money from outside left-wing opposition groups. This is a circus. The consequences will extend long past my nomination. The consequences will be with us for decades."
WHAT CAN WE TAKE FROM THIS?
#1. Anger- Does this reference the Unconstitutional denial of President Barack Obamas choice for the Supreme Court, Merrick Garland, a chance to testify before the Senate, to be followed by a public vote?
BUT YOU'RE BEING TREATED UNFAIRLY. REALLY?
#2. President Trump and the 2016 Election- You mean an election with Bogus Returns in at least 6 States that handed Donald Trump the White House, paving the way for him placing 2 Judges on the Supreme Court.
Do you mean "FEAR" of having the future course of Judicial Precedents decided by DONALD TRUMP, whose behavior while in the WHITE HOUSE is often considered to be IRRATIONAL AND VINDICTIVE?
#3. Revenge on behalf of the Clintons- I assume you have the facts to back this up, since this is a direct accusation. Also, Do you mean that the Clintons planned and executed these plans directly, or are unwitting pawns that had no knowledge about the attempt to create this "Circus"?
IS THIS HOW A SUPREME COURT JUSTICE SHOULD CONDUCT HIMSELF IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY?
TO BE CONTINUED...?

FWD: The four women who can take back the Senate. U.S. SENATOR PATRICK LEAHY.
This week, and throughout the Trump administration, it seems we are given almost daily reminders of the incredible importance of electing more women to office.
While I find the GOP's refusal to listen to or stand up for the rights of women deeply disturbing, I am grateful and heartened by the record number of women running for office -- and I am enthusiastically supporting the incredible slate of Democratic women on the ballot for the U.S. Senate this November.
I hope you'll join me. Supporting these candidates not only creates a more diverse Senate, but these races will play a crucial role in our mission to regain a Democratic majority.
In the Senate, Claire McCaskill and Heidi Heitkamp have both championed women's issues -- and stood with Democrats as we fought to protect health care and for an economy that works for working families. Keeping their seats blue is absolutely crucial if we're going to take back the Senate and put a stop to Trump and McConnell's hateful agenda.
In Nevada and Arizona, Jacky Rosen and Kyrsten Sinema are both locked in tight races to turn currently red seats blue. If we can give their campaigns the boost they'll need to win, we can take back the Senate.
As Judge Kavanaugh's nomination illustrates, there could not be more at stake for women, for people of color, for LGBTQ people, for workers, and anyone who cares about the sanctity of our democracy these midterm elections. We need to elect Democrats who will fight for our communities and for our democracy -- we need to elect Claire McCaskill, Heidi Heitkamp, Jacky Rosen, and Kyrsten Sinema to the Senate.
But to do it, we need to stand together behind their campaigns now.
Sincerely,
Patrick Leahy
U.S. Senator
