WORTHWHILE OR WORTHLESS- A CONSUMER GUIDE TO AVOIDING SCAMS AND SCOUNDRELS. MEDICAL SCAMS- PT 2.

Here are some terms you should know when considering the value of any course of Medical Treatment.

Anecdotal Evidence-  Is the personal opinion, lacking properly controlled studies, given by an individual regarding the effectiveness of a course of treatment or a given drug. This is, unfortunately, of no real use to the prospective patient.  There is no reasonable way to know if any positive or negative affects were a direct result of the Medicine and /or a prescribed change of lifestyle.  They are simply relating what they believe to be true, which is subject to selective bias. Cultural, Ethical and Spiritual backgrounds can affect objectivity.

Endorsement-  Is simply a recommendation, by an individual or group, that something achieves the claimed results and should be considered beneficial.

The key is researching the "Expertise" of anyone who provides an endorsement.

In the field of Medicine;

 - What are the Educational or Professional qualifications of those offering an opinion?

- Is there a financial component that may influence the stated conclusions?

- Is there an agenda, Moral or Political, that the endorser may be seeking to

promote which could cloud their judgment?

- Just because someone has M.D or PHD following their name, does not necessarily mean that the given opinion is correct and should not be questioned.  Never rely on one persons judgment, search out opinions of other qualified persons or groups.

medical scams prevalent in society today.

FEATURE ARTICLES. THE MOST DANGEROUS ONE OF ALL. PT 6.

While the RELIGIOUS HYPOCRITE Uses Faith and Beliefs to Manipulate Others, The Second Group of HYPOCRITES Works on the MORE TANGIBLE ASPECTS OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR, SUCH AS GREED AND IRRESPONSIBILITY.

( I MUST POINT OUT HERE THAT JUST BECAUSE WE FIND AND IDENTIFY HYPOCRITES,  EITHER IN PUBLIC OFFICE OR NOT, IT MAY NOT MEAN A THING TO THOSE WHO ARE LABELED AS SUCH.  I FIND THAT ALL TO OFTEN,  MANY OF THOSE WHO BENEFIT FROM THE HYPOCRISY FIND NO ETHICAL DILEMMA, USUALLY BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO CONFRONT THE LOGICALLY INVALID MINDSET THAT IS THEIR WAY OF THINKING.  IN OTHER WORDS, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BAD HYPOCRITE, AS LONG AS THEY ARE OUR HYPOCRITE.)


NOW WE COME TO #2 ON THE LIST,  THE FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC HYPOCRITE. (F.E.H. from here on.)

Unlike the RELIGIOUS HYPOCRITE, THE F.E.H. attempts in many cases to use Statistics and Other Data to Support Their Views and Opinions.  Unfortunately, They are Often Selective in choosing which NUMBERS TO MAKE THEIR CASE, AND IGNORE REPORTS AND STUDIES THAT SHOW THEIR CONCLUSIONS TO BE  INVALID, BASELESS, OR JUST PLAIN WRONG.  THIS IS DONE TO "LEGITIMIZE" UNFAIR FINANCIAL POLICIES, WHICH IS FINE WITH THEIR SUPPORTERS, WHO CARE LITTLE FOR EQUAL TREATMENT AS LONG AS THEY COME OUT AHEAD.

In Addition, the F.E.H. differs from the RELIGIOUS HYPOCRITE IN TWO OTHER MAJOR WAYS:

1)  VICTIMS OF THE RELIGIOUS HYPOCRITE ARE OFTEN TARGETED BECAUSE OF A SPECIFIC SET OF MORAL BELIEFS THAT INCLUDE:

-   THE INHERENT "GOODNESS" OF THE TRUE BELIEVER.

-   ACCEPTING THE WORD OF A NEW MEMBER, IN THAT THEY
TRULY LIVE THE LIFE THEY ARE ESPOUSING.

-   FORGIVING THE "LAPSES IN JUDGMENT" THAT A MEMBER MAY
MAKE.  THIS INCLUDES NOT REQUIRING ANY EVIDENCE THAT THOSE
"WHO HAVE STRAYED" ARE TRULY REPENTANT, OR THAT THEY
SINCERELY REGRET THEIR PAST UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR.
( OTHER THAN A PERSONAL DECLARATION DELIVERED TO OTHER
MEMBERS OF THE GROUP).


2)  EVEN WHEN THE RELIGIOUS HYPOCRITE IS RECOGNIZED FOR WHAT THEY REALLY ARE, THEY FIND ALLIES AMONG THE "FAITHFUL," WHO WOULD NOT STAND FOR THE HYPOCRITES VICTIMIZING THEM OR LIKE MINDED GROUPS, BUT IS SUPPORTIVE OF ANY ACTIONS TAKEN  AGAINST OPPONENTS OF THE FAITH.


THE F.E.H. HYPOCRITE VICTIMIZES ANY INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP WHO CAN BE STIGMATIZED OR BLAMED FOR MONETARY PROBLEMS IN GOVERNMENT, WHETHER IT IS DESERVED OR NOT.  THEY CREATE "IMPRESSIONS" ABOUT DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE IN SOCIETY, USUALLY UNFLATTERING, TO JUSTIFY PUNITIVE AND PREJUDICIAL PUBLIC POLICIES.  FACTS NEED NOT GET IN THE WAY.

THE MYSTERIOUS WORLD. AMONG THE MISSING- PT 4. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

What Caused the STAR DUST to go Missing?  

The Flight left Buenos Aires on 1:46pm on August, 2nd, 1947.

The Flight was Uneventful, and at 5:41pm, Radio Operator Dennis Harmer sent a Message by Morse Code to the Santiago Tower that They expected arrival at 5:45pm.  ( Here is the place where the word STENDEC was Transmitted, and repeated when the Santiago Operator did not Understand the Term. As I Related in an earlier Post, the meaning has never been Satisfactorily Explained, but there is no Evidence that it had any Bearing on the Crash.)

That was the Final Message sent by the STAR DUST, the Aircraft never arrived.

An Extensive Search was Conducted by Argentine and Chilean Authorities, as well as the Airline Itself.  However, Nothing was found to indicate where the Aircraft had gone down, as well as the cause.

At the Time of the Disappearance, here is what we REASONABLY KNOW TO BE TRUE; 

-  AIRLINE-  BRITISH SOUTH AMERICAN AIRWAYS.

-  TYPE OF AIRCRAFT-  AVRO- LANCASTRIAN.

-  REGISTRATION #G-AGWH.

-  # OF CREW- 5, # OF PASSENGERS- 6.

DEPARTED- BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA AT 1:46PM.

DESTINATION- SANTIAGO, CHILE.

FINAL MESSAGE RECEIVED BY SANTIAGO AIRPORT AT 5:41PM.

AT NO TIME DURING FLIGHT DID THE FLIGHT CREW SEND ANY

KIND OF DISTRESS/EMERGENCY CALL.

REMAINS OF THE CRASHED AIRCRAFT, AND THE LOST CREW 

AND PASSENGERS, WERE DISCOVERED IN THE LATE 1990s ON

THE GLACIER LOCATED AT THE 15,000 FOOT LEVEL OF 

MT. TUPUNGATO.  THE MELTING SNOW AND ICE UNCOVERED

THIS EVIDENCE, WHICH HAD BEEN HIDDEN SINCE THE CRASH.

THE SITE IS ABOUT 50 MILES EAST OF SANTIAGO.

ALL REMNANTS OF THE DISASTER WERE LOCALIZED TO A 

SPECIFIC AREA.  EXAMINATION OF THE PROPELLERS AND 

LANDING GEAR INDICATED A CONTROLLED FLIGHT INTO TERRAIN.

THE FINAL CHAPTER WILL REVEAL THE MOST LIKELY CAUSE(S)

OF THE CRASH.

KEEP IN MIND THE FOLLOWING TERMS;

-  BAD WEATHER.

-  THE JET STREAM.

-  GROUND SPEED vs AIR SPEED.

-  THE ANDES MOUNTAINS.
