REMINDING THE VOTERS: EXAMPLES OF WHAT TRUMP AND THE FASCIST PARTY OF AMERICA/GOP STAND FOR. BY DEFINITION: GUN CONTROL, AND THE 2ND AMENDMENT. PART 1.

 

(AS HAS HAPPENED AFTER OTHER HORRIFIC SHOOTINGS, THE DEATH OF INNOCENTS WILL NOT CONVINCE THE FASCIST FOLLOWERS OF TRUMP AND PUTIN TO LOOK FOR WAYS TO PREVENT FURTHER MASSACRES. NOW, WE KNOW THE GOP DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR OWN CONSTITUENTS, LET ALONE SOMEONE ELSES, AND DISARMING DOMESTIC TERRORISTS COULD LEAD TO NEGATIVE PUBLICITY FROM FOX NEWS.

 HOWEVER, AS USUAL, DEMOCRATS REFUSE TO CONFRONT AND DESTROY THE 2ND AMENDMENT DEFENSE USED BY THE NRA LAPDOGS IN THE SENATE, WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT MAKES ME WONDER ABOUT WHO LEADS THE OPPOSITION.

SO, ONCE AGAIN, A REFRESHER;

BY DEFINITION: GUN CONTROL, AND THE 2ND AMENDMENT. PART 1.

Trying to cut through all the Hyperbole about the 2nd Amendment, and how Free or Restrictive Gun Ownership and/or Possession should be, is a daunting task. However, let's give it a try.

FIRST-  Here is the Actual Wording of the 2nd Amendment; 

"A WELL REGULATED MILITIA, BEING NECESSARY TO THE SECURITY OF A FREE STATE, THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED."

Before anything else of value can be done, the initial step must be to: DEFINE WORDS AND TERMS.

So, with that in mind, here are a few definitions that must be considered vital to understanding the meaning contained in the 2nd Amendment;

MILITIA-  Is the Military Arm of each Individual State, to be called upon by the Governor to protect the Peace and Security within its Proscribed Boarders.  Today, it is now called the NATIONAL GUARD.  It can also be Nationalized, which means it falls under the Authority of the President, to serve the needs of the Entire Country.

REGULATED-  In Martial Terms;  An Organized Group operating under a strict set of Rules and Guidelines: 

-  That is Derived from, and Subordinate to a Civilian Authority or Government. 

-  With a Well-Defined Mission Statement.

-  That Outlines the Duties and Expectations Governing Proper and Improper Behavior, and set Punishments for Violations.

-  That Establishes a Formal Command Structure, with set standards for Leadership roles, and provides for the Arming and Training of the rank and file.

STATE-  Could actually refer to either an individual state, or the U.S. as a whole,

depending on the circumstances or mission.

RIGHT-  A Protection an Individual has against possible Retribution by the Government, for engaging or participating in certain activities. 

PEOPLE-  CITIZEN(S).

ARMS-  Any Physical Object that would be easily recognized as a Tool of War, 

or is acknowledged to be part of an established Military Arsenal.  Usually, refers to any type of Firearm.  In modern terms, WEAPONS would be a more appropriate term for general usage. 

KEEP-  To Store, Control, or Maintain a Weapon under the control of a certain group or individual. 

BEAR-  To have Immediate Open Physical Possession of a Weapon, which is Legally Recognized.

THE REALLY SAD PART: IT'S NOT SATIRE, IT'S 100% TRUE.

... a Political Party that Supports a Nationwide Agenda of;

- Racism

- Homophobia

- Xenophobia

- Religious Bigotry.

- Fascist control of the Media.

...and

Pushes an Irrational and Anti-Intellectual mindset

that denies Advances in Science and Medicine so they

can exploit these denials politically.

...or Has a Foreign Policy

- that supports Dictators and Despots.

- that admires Heads of State that pursue

a FASCIST AGENDA.

- that protects those Nations seeking to

conquer neighboring countries.

...and is willing

- to commit treason and sedition to maintain power in the U.S.

...REALLY CARES ABOUT ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T 

REVOLVE AROUND THEIR OWN SELF-CENTERED SET

OF BELIEFS, WHERE THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND THEM,

AND THE REST OF HUMANITY EXISTS ONLY TO BE USED AND EXPLOITED

TO GRATIFY THEIR OWN SETS OF WANTS AND DESIRES?

It’s not possible to fully express how deeply grateful I am. Thanks to your incredible support, Sandy Hook Promise recently averted another credible school attack. We’ve now stopped 16 in total, saving hundreds of lives and preventing the agony of thousands.

Our National Crisis Center received several anonymous tips through our Say Something Anonymous Reporting System from concerned students who recognized the warning signs of potential violence and took immediate action. Thanks to upstanders like these from schools around the country, more communities have been spared from unthinkable pain and trauma.

To date, our programs have saved more than 576 lives with crisis interventions, averted at least 232 acts of violence with a weapon and received more than 210,000 anonymous tips. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of people like you. I’m so grateful for your commitment to saving children’s lives.

It’s been a little more than 11 years since my beautiful butterfly Dylan was murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary. Eleven years since I’ve been able to hug him or hear his infectious laugh. It never gets easier.

At Dylan’s funeral, I talked about the change that needed to happen so no other parent has a child taken by gun violence. And thanks to you and this incredible community, we’ve been able to make incredible progress over these past 11 years and save many children’s lives. Preventing 16 school attacks is a monumental part of that progress.

MY EVALUATION. PART 2: FINAL REPORT Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.

 

THE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY.

Starts with the Testimony of an OATHKEEPER on why they were in the Capitol that day, and what motivated them:

"...were provoked to travel to Washington by President Donald Trump’s tweets and by Trump’s false claims that the 2020 Presidential election was “stolen” from him."

When asked by prosecutors to characterize his behavior that day, He Said:

 "I guess I was [acting] like a traitor, somebody against my own government."

The Executive Summary goes on to relate that many defendants who were charged for their behavior on Jan,6th expressed the same regrets and sense of shame for the criminal activities they engaged in. More Important, it seems Donald Trumps words and actions were just about the only motivating factor that triggered their behavior.

The Committee then summarized its conclusions; 

"This Report supplies an immense volume of information and testimony assembled through the Select Committee’s investigation, including information obtained following litigation in Federal district and appellate courts, as well as in the U.S. Supreme Court. Based upon this assembled evidence, the Committee has reached a series of specific findings, including the following:"

1- Beginning election night and continuing through January 6th and thereafter, Donald Trump purposely disseminated false allegations of fraud related to the 2020 Presidential election...

2- Knowing that he and his supporters had lost dozens of election lawsuits, and despite his own senior advisors refuting his election fraudclaims and urging him to concede his election loss, Donald Trumprefused to accept the lawful result of the 2020 election.

3- Despite knowing that such an action would be illegal...Donald Trump corruptly pressured Vice President Mike Pence to refuse to count electoral votes during Congress’s joint session on January 6th.

4- Donald Trump sought to corrupt the U.S. Department of Justice by attempting to enlist Department officials to make purposely false statements...

5- ...Donald Trump unlawfully pressured State officials and legislators to change the results of the election in their States.

6- Donald Trump oversaw an effort to obtain and transmit false electoral certificates to Congress and the National Archives.

7- Donald Trump pressured Members of Congress to object to valid slates of electors from several States. 

8- Donald Trump purposely verified false information filed in Federal court.

9- Based on false allegations that the election was stolen, Donald Trump summoned tens of thousands of supporters to Washington...Donald Trump instructed them to march to the Capitol on January 6th to “take back” their country.

10- Knowing that a violent attack on the Capitol was underway and knowing that his words would incite further violence, Donald Trump purposely sent a social media message publicly condemning Vice President Pence at 2:24 p.m. on January 6th. 

11. Knowing that violence was underway at the Capitol, and despite his duty to ensure that the laws are faithfully executed, Donald Trump refused repeated requests over a multiple hour period that he instruct his violent supporters to disperse and leave the Capitol, and instead watched the violent attack unfold on television. This failure to act perpetuated the violence at the Capitol and obstructed Congress’s proceeding to count electoral votes.

MY ANALYSIS- This is pretty straightforward. DONALD TRUMP WAS, LITERALLY, THE SOLE INSTIGATOR OF THE JAN 6TH ATTACK ON THE CAPITOL.

In fact, it seems he delegated very little of the actual Criminal Behavior to subordinates.

- The Planning.

- The Justification.

- The Threats and Intimidation.

- Attempted Corruption of 

Government Employees to go along

 with the plan.

All of this comes from him directly, although he 

did remain quiet about one thing: The Initial pleas

for him to go on the air and urge his supporters to stop the 

violence, and leave the capitol. He did nothing for hours, but just 

watched it on TV.

The fact DONALD TRUMP had no evidence that the election was stolen

from him, and that he lost every court case, meant nothing. All that mattered

is what he wanted*, and no U.S. CONSTITUTION WAS GOING TO GET IN HIS WAY.

I think Benedict Arnold was an amateur compared to this guy. Arnold wanted to betray West Point 

to the British. TRUMP WANTED TO BETRAY THE ENTIRE COUNTRY TO ITS ENEMIES,

 FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC.

Kerry Kennedy on protecting journalists & the business of human rights.

 

THE BUSINESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND PROTECTIONS ABROAD On January 17th, Emma Tucker, editor in chief of The Wall Street Journal, hosted a discussion in Davos with Kerry Kennedy and the parents of detained WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich about the impact of increasing illegal detainments of journalists and what can be done to stop them. Evan was arrested in March 2023 by Russia’s Federal Security Service while on assignment and is currently being held in the infamous Lefortovo prison despite international pressure for his release. Kerry argues, however, that there is reason for hope, citing recent landmark cases won by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights litigation team that resulted in governments being held accountable for their treatment of journalists. The pressure to end illegal detentions must remain high.
