In Other Posts on the Website, I have Discussed some of the more Intellectually Vacuous Programming offered over the Air by Regular Commercial and Cable Television Stations. Therefore, It would seem reasonable to expect that some Commercials and Ads would also follow the same pattern of Irrational Thought, with Dubious Claims made without any Proper Evaluation or Research to back up any claims made.

With that in mind, are there certain characteristics that we can look for that might indicate the Value of the Information being provided, and if it can be Trusted?

First some terms you may come across, and if Their Use in Advertising is of any Real Value;

ALL- NATURAL-  Is Often Used to Promote Certain Remedies and Foods, to Promote Trust and Quality.  However, it is Essentially Meaningless, for it says nothing about the Effectiveness, Value, and Possible Side Effects of the Product Being Referred to.

ORGANIC-  Is an Advertisers Dream, because it has Become the Role Model for a Category of Foods that has Captured the General Publics Imagination as Wonder Products, that Justify the Additional Cost to the Consumer. So Does Organic Live up to the Hype?

ORGANIC FOODS CONTAIN MORE VITAMINS AND NUTRIENTS THAN THE LESS COSTLY OPTIONS.-  No, They are Chemically Identical.  In Other Words, an Organic Head of Lettuce has the same Nutritional Value as its Non-Organically Labeled Option.

ORGANIC FOODS ARE FRESHER.-  Maybe in a Few Isolated Cases, but the Vast Majority of Organic Foods are placed on the Shelves in the same time period as Their Counterparts.

ORGANIC FOODS ARE LOCALLY GROWN-  Again, Perhaps this is True in a Few Cases, but Nearly All Organic Foods are Grown and Transported by the same Corporations that Provide and Supply the Less Expensive Alternatives.

We'll get back to ORGANIC FOODS IN THE FUTURE.

CLEANSE-  Another Marketing Term that attempts to Convince the Public that They Need to "CLEANSE" Their Body, Blood, or Colon, etc., with a SPECIAL PRODUCT CREATED FOR THAT PURPOSE.  Guess What? Your Body Does That for you. These Products Offer Nothing in the Way of Actual Medicinal Value and seek to Solve Problems that don't exist.

FEDERAL AID TO PROVIDE A MINIMAL LIVING STANDARD.

-  IS RELUCTANT TO SUPPORT A UNIVERSAL HEALTH PLAN THAT
WOULD BENEFIT ALL OF ITS RESIDENTS.

-  HAS A LOW REGARD FOR EDUCATION, ESPECIALLY THE SCIENCES.

-  DOES NOT EMPHASIZE PROTECTIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEE, BUT LEAVES
THAT TO THE WHIMS OF THE EMPLOYER.

- TRIES TO ADMINISTER JUSTICE ACCORDING TO THE FAITH AND 
RELIGIOUS BELIEFS OF THOSE IN POWER.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ABOUT SUCH A POLITICIAN? 

NOW, SUPPOSE THAT MEMBER OF CONGRESS HAS SERVED FOR YEARS,
AND THROUGH "SENIORITY" HAS GAINED POWER OVER OTHER MEMBERS
OF CONGRESS, INFLUENCING OR PREVENTING LEGISLATION THAT OTHERS
THINK NECESSARY.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ABOUT THAT POLITICIAN?

NOW, AS WE LOOK BACK OVER THIS POLITICIANS CAREER, WE SEE THAT
THE PEOPLE REPRESENTED BY THIS MEMBER OF CONGRESS ARE NOT
MUCH BETTER OFF, (STANDARD OF LIVING, HEALTH, EDUCATION.), THAN 
THEY WERE BEFORE THIS "PUBLIC SERVANT" CAME TO WASHINGTON, D.C.
FURTHER, WHEN WE LOOK AT THE PUBLIC RECORD, IT SEEMS THAT LITTLE
WAS DONE, PROPOSED, OR SUPPORTED BY THIS ELECTED OFFICIAL THAT 
WOULD ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEMS OF THE CONSTITUENCY.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ABOUT THAT POLITICIAN?

NOW WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IF THAT POLITICIAN WAS GIVEN THE 
POWER TO INFLUENCE THE COURSE OF THE ENTIRE COUNTRY, FREE
TO USE THEIR EXPERTISE FOR THE "GOOD" OF ALL.

...WHY DON'T WE TAKE A LOOK AT THOSE WHO AUTHORED THE NEW 
REPUBLICAN "TAX PLAN", AND SEE WHO IS IN CHARGE OF DETERMINING

David, Despite the failure of Senate Republicans to convict Donald Trump in both of his impeachment trials, there’s no question that the House impeachment managers made us proud as they prosecuted the case against Trump for his obvious crimes. Today, we want to take a minute to tell you more about Representatives Joe Neguse and Jason Crow, two of our endorsed incumbent House Democrats, who served as impeachment managers during the first and second impeachment trials. Congressman Joe Neguse, representing Colorado’s 2nd district, was a House impeachment manager during the second impeachment trial. The son of refugees from Eritrea, Joe’s family’s story, and deeply held belief that people from all walks of life need to speak up and engage in our democracy, motivated him to run for Congress in 2018. He is the first and only African-American elected to serve in Congress in Colorado’s history. Jason Crow is a former U.S. Army Ranger who represents Colorado’s 6th District. Jason served three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan with the storied 82nd Airborne Division and later with the elite 75th Ranger Regiment where he achieved the rank of captain. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his actions leading a combat platoon in Iraq. During rocket attacks in Afghanistan, Jason would use his time in the bunker to study for the LSAT and after his service attended the University of Denver Law School. Since leaving the Army in 2006, Jason has been an outspoken advocate for his fellow veterans in Colorado and across the country. As a member of Congress, Jason is proud to serve on the House Armed Services Committee as well as the Committee on Small Business. Since his election in 2018, Jason has worked to address energy efficiency and climate change at the Department of Defense, improve cybersecurity, and ensure just and equitable treatment for all service members. FICTION: WHO SHALL DECIDE?

A long time ago, there lived a King who loved his country.  The people were, for the most part, very happy.  

However, there was one big problem.  Although the country was united, religion was still a problem.  The King came to the decision that to truly unite the citizenry, a single faith should be adopted.  So the King turned to his most trusted Adviser and asked what he should do.  The Adviser replied, "Bring in all the most educated, that they will present the best case."

So the King sent for the wisest scholars who would present the best reasons to define God in a way that would satisfy everyone. In the end, only three were left, those whose words that the King found the most valid.  The King said " Let us decide now," and turned to the three and said, "Give me a reason to select you, and no other."

In the first case, a wizened old man bowed deeply, and said, "It is obvious, the Sun is God.  This orb is the reason we have the most fertility, for when it shines the most, it is when we can plant and harvest the most food.  When the sun shines least, our crops do not grow."

"Ah," the King nodded, "sounds very good, who will dare to disagree."  In that instance, the second scholar approached the throne.  "Your highness," he began,  "the Sun is indeed powerful, but it is the Clouds that are truly divine.  Not only can they block sunlight, but they provide us with life giving water to drink.  Our crops need water or they will die."

The King sat and considered this new testimony.  " Very compelling," he said to the second scholar, "perhaps you are correct."

At that moment, the third and final scholar spoke.  "Your highness, they are both wrong.  The earth beneath our feet is truly where we find God.  The soil nurtures the seed that grows our crops and provides us with plants that heal the sick. Trees from which we build the shelters that protect us from the weather, are provided by the ground in which we walk upon."

The King frowned.  What should he do?  In frustration, he dismissed all but his trusted adviser.  To him, he turned and said, "Give me council, what am I to do?"

The adviser thought for a moment and then replied; '' In each case, your majesty, we find a belief that we are being controlled by outside sources.  These sources must be worshiped, or we will be punished.  However, in no case is this true.  We plant crops according to the time of year that in the past has given us the best results.  We do not worry about droughts because we have created reservoirs in case of need.  Our soil is worthless unless we fertilize properly and rotate our crops."

The King was in despair.  "What are the people to believe, how should I rule?"  The adviser looked the King straight in the eye, and with a dignity that is born of confidence replied; "Perhaps they should believe in themselves.  For our ability to use and understand the natural resources around us, to the benefit of all, is where we truly find the hand of the Divine."

Not every Florida politician is looking to pay tribute to Rush Limbaugh.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried announced Monday that she would disregard an order by Gov. Ron DeSantis to lower flags in the state to half-staff to pay tribute to Limbaugh, the conservative firebrand radio host who passed away last week after a battle with lung cancer.

“Lowering to half-staff the flag of the United States of America is a sacred honor that pays respect to fallen heroes and patriots. It is not a partisan political tool," Fried, a Democrat, said in a statement. "Therefore, I will notify all state offices under my direction to disregard the Governor’s forthcoming order to lower flags for Mr. Limbaugh – because we will not celebrate hate speech, bigotry, and division. Lowering the flag should always reflect unity, not division, and raising our standards, not lowering them. Our flags will remain flying high to celebrate the American values of diversity, inclusion, and respect for all.”

#1. Anger-  Does this reference the Unconstitutional denial of President Barack Obamas choice for the Supreme Court, Merrick Garland, a chance to testify before the Senate, to be followed by a public vote? 

BUT YOU'RE BEING TREATED UNFAIRLY. REALLY?

#2. President Trump and the 2016 Election- You mean an election with Bogus Returns in at least 6 States that handed Donald Trump the White House, paving the way for him placing 3 Judges on the Supreme Court.

Do you mean "FEAR" of having the future course of Judicial Precedents decided by DONALD TRUMP, whose behavior while in the WHITE HOUSE is often considered to be IRRATIONAL AND VINDICTIVE? 

#3. Revenge on behalf of the Clintons- I assume you have the facts to back this up, since this is a direct accusation. Also, Do you mean that the Clintons planned and executed these plans directly, or are unwitting pawns that had no knowledge about the attempt to create this "Circus"?
